i heard that there are going to be premium (yeah u guessed it: paid) maps. what have u guys heard of this?
Blizz has said map makers will get the opportunity to charge others for using their maps HOWEVER the option will only be open to maps which are basically mods i.e alot more complicated than DOTA. If you look on youtube you'll find a video of a third person shooter and an arcade space fighter game they made with the engine. Thats the kinda thing which would be charged. Also i think blizz has estimated the price to be about 50c a map Of course any of this can change by the time its released (they doubt it'll be with the shipped game)
