Who here did the 50 practice league attempts or just went to skip and got put into whatever area you qualified for?

I am still in practice league, and it's never hard to find a game to play...but i kinda want to try the real deal, even though i suck lol.

    So, what did you do?

I continued to do the practice league. Great way to get some practice in and its unranked so I don't see it as a bad thing but its your decision on whether you want to skip or not.

As long as you're new to the game practice league is a really good way to learn. You need to remember, though, that the "real" ladder-games will be much faster and on different maps (the maps in practice are smaller with additional rocks). So if you, at some point, feel confident enough, simply go on to the "real" ladder-games and try your luck. And don't bother if you're gonna lose or get your *** wiped, there are a lot of pros out there (i remember the beta...... :))

best way is to go to custom games and then get in a 2vs2 or 3vs3 .... doesnt count as ranked and u learn better than practice.

Actually I think one of the best ways to learn how to play SC2 is to do the tutorials then try your hand at some of the single player challenges. They get you used to using the right unit for the right situation, making effective use of special abilities and lastly teach you how to defend against a rush.

And getting a good score in the challenges is hard. But you can work on them and get better and better at them. That's something you can't do with the practice matches. As very few people with any still/use of tactics play them.

Play 10 games of practice league, then skip. Thats what I did and I feel pretty confident in ladder games (I got the game a week ago)

    That's what I do.

I thought about practice league to learn the maps, but I figured I could just glance at them in a non-game/replay etc and figure it out as I went.
