So I'm playing my normal opening as terran in random 2v2(no friends online) and beginning to wall my choke. Just as I'm about to put my barracks down, suddenly I get stormed by about 12 probes and most of my scv that arent able to get into my CC to lift away get killed, along with my supply depot. Curious, I sent 1 scv to the enemy bases during the attack and even with sending me that many probes, each still had about 6 mining in their own base.

Luckily I was able to fly away and rebuild elsewhere and my ally managed to cannon rush one of the bases successfully. And thus in the end we managed to win.

However, had I been zerg or protoss, I would have been taken out by this attack. Is there any way to counter this? I've been hit by this stunt 2 times in the past week.

On another note, the probes were under shared controll, so this attack was likely planned beforehand.

The probes outnumber my SCV, and with the SCV hp nerf, they didn't stand a chance. So I just packed up and moved locations.

Yet, after watching the replay, one of the toss players made an expo in my old location, which neither of us scouted because we were too busy looking for expos on their side of the map -.-

Again, micro. He can't attack your buildings if you harass him while he does it and he can't attack your probes if you run them away. I've had to counter this countless times in SCBW where it's infinitely more imbalanced and harder to do. SCV rushes with 60 HP SCVs can easily be countered with micro even if you have less overall HP. Even more so in StarCraft 2.

If possible, when your forward scout sees it coming block your choke. You should start building additional depots in the way, and clog it with some of your own workers (which will also limit their workers ability to come in and surround/gang rape your own). Mostly you'll be trying to buy time. Time for your first marine to come out, time for your teammate to get in a position to omgwtfpwnbbq them, time for you to pull in additional resources.

If you can fend it off on your own, do it. Otherwise, once they are in run them around like on of the above posters said. Again, you're buying time.

If you aren't going to be able to fend them off, when the time comes where you are looking at losing all your workers by staying or finally fleeing, go ahead and get out and rebuild. As Terran I'd probably float your main cc to a remote (preferrably island) location, and then build a new one at your partner's expo. Initially focus on building workers and sending resources to your partner as you recover.

Frankly I don't think this strategy is anywhere near as interesting as the old floating rax + mass scv rush from SC1 (where SCVs were a relatively stronger worker) which seems to have been replaced by the planetary fortress rush.
