This time, you get to choose not between powers for yourself, but between mighty weapons. Excalibur no tsurugi: Can cut anything, including uncuttables, such as liquids, lava, vacuum, souls and time. Comes with a scabbard capable of holding it. This sword can actually propel its own slices through the air, although its projective slice only damages cuttables. The Longinus spear of Muramasa: Gives you sight powerful enough to see Neil Armstrongs bootprint on the moon from earth and enough accuracy and strength to hit anything you can see, travels at the speed of sound. The spear can actually follow moving aerial targets. Automatically returns to your hand after you have thrown it, or at any time you will it to. The twin swords Gram and Claíomh Solais. With Gram you can summon an aquatic vortex of up to three kilometers accross (it also grants you immunity against any effects caused by the vortex, including objects flying around). Claíomh Solais can negate any light source, up to covering an area 50 km in diameter in complete darkness.
"The Longinus spear of Muramasa" The Spear of Longinus is the bear that pierced Christ's side while on the cross. Muramasa is a demon swordsmith. @_@ Anyway, the Excalibur no Tsurugi for me. Cause it's cool. Couple that with the Blink from one of the older surveys. Nifty.
They all got names like that. Gram is a Norse sword wielded by one of the gods, Claíomh Solais is one of the four Irish legendary treasures, Excalibur you know and the No Tsurugi comes from kusanagi no tsurugi, a legendary japanese sword (It actually exists, but probably not as awesome as is said in the legends), crafted by a god, that could penetrate almost anything.
Have to go with the spear for this one... It reminds me of farslayer... kudos if you know what that is without looking it up
Excalibur, no way I should be able to lose a fight if I can cut through time. Spear is a close 2nd though.
I went with the spear. Maybe not as powerful as Excalibur, but it's uses are more straightforward IMO.
Probably my most favourite artifact weapon in any story I have ever read ever. The Subtle Knife, I mean.
