I had the same ATI Video Card. The HD Radeon 2600 Pro, but it kept freezing and fuxing up my computer, so i traded it in for an Older card
When I first got it my ubuntu wouldn't accept it and like ****ed up and I had to reformatt everything which wasn't a problem because all of my files (media, docs, porn, ect.) are backed up on my external hdd's. But I have heard of this card causing people problems, idk. It works for me so I am happy. Im running AGP motherboard so the best I could go now is the 3850. Thank God for ATI still making AGP stuff.
Its all going to the x16. And now the 2.0. WHich in my opinion is stupid, it runs fast, but its causing computers to crash.
Yeah I've heard, from other forums, about how people with their fancy nancy PCIx boards have trouble with their computers crashing or turning off after like 4 continuous hours of gaming. So apparently now there's a time limit on how much your computer can handle? Meh. I can run Crysis 24/7 which is what I did over Spring Break. Honestly who needs a 1400watt PSU with two GeForce 9800 GX2 cards bridged with their fancy yancy SLI boards. All that = is a power outage, for the whole block. Greedy...
