Anyone who says anything other than campaign just says it for the sake of it. Seriously, no one will know anything about the game - the campaign leads the new content in nicely. Plus it'll be an immersive story, so second reason to play the campaign. Multi and custom games... well good luck finding games with a decent standard of play. Also that way you won't learn the new things in an appreciative way because you'll be speeding like mad to get your first few games as a victory. It'd be like eating chocolates out of hunger and thus scoffing them... it's just a waste that way.

You can make polls, you know. Just click on "thread tools" at the top of your thread.

For me it will be campaign.

I agree with Kuvasz. However, I will first check the editor. Just to see what axed and old units made it into the editor. After looking around for a few minutes: campaign.

  13. I agree with kuvasz.

@Seradin: Does StarCraft 2 still have LAN? Has this been confirmed anywhere?

Does something as obvious need confimation? It's an e-sports game... It would be really weird not having a LAN option. :s

Or am I missing something here?

    D. Explore the mod editor.

  16. Mod editor? Those won't be out for a while after StarCraft II's release. I believe you're referring to the map editor.

kuvasz I won't be playing the campaigns first. I'll be reading the instruction booklet first. Study it first. And it'll have some story in it too I'm sure to get me from end of brood war -> start of SC2 just nicely.

To Aurora: I'm not so sure about a Lan option. And it's not so strange they haven't mentioned it. Because they might just assume that everyone would hit battle.net for their multiplayer fix. And all their competitions/games could be battle.net based too. But for me they really should have a Lan Option. Because Lan parties, though rare these days still happen. And SC2 would be great in them.

  18. Holy crap, I can't believe I forgot about the manuals. I used to absolutely cherish my ol' StarCraft manual. I'd read that thing like a classic novel.

So, for me, after I'm finished playing the campaign for the day and I'm laying in bed exhausted from all of the Zerg I'll be frying, Protoss I'll be stomping, and the Terrans I'll be murdering, I'll be reading (maybe studying is a better word) the lore in the manual :D

Now just hope it won't be just a pdf file in the normal edition. Having a laptop sitting on your legs in bed is kinda uncomfortable. ;)

  20. Haha! I read all of my books as eBooks on laptops now. I vastly prefer it.

That being said, I hope there's a physical version ANNNDDDD a PDF/CBR version.
