Karune's Announcement for the first quarter of 2008:

Karune: First off, I'm glad you have written this post, as we do indeed have several projects we are working on both in the Community Department, as well as the Developers for StarCraft II, many which will be revealed throughout Q1 2008. On top of that, there are other developments that are happening here at Blizzard which are considered 'big upgrades' and will be shown to everyone over the coming months (not related to the merger).

In the meantime, I hope everyone enjoys the Q&As and the latest Monthly Discussion Topic about the Artistic Direction of StarCraft II, in which I know many of the Battle.net users and StarCraft fans have feedback for us on. After speaking to both Dustin and Sammy several times over the past month, they are definitely curious to the feedback and desires of the fans.

Also, I know you guys will hate this, but after viewing some of the cut scenes they have planned for single player, all I can say is WOW! Everyone will be very pleased with the extra work and attention the Devs are putting into StarCraft II. Karune

I personally think it will be the new project or the cut scenes, because he makes a different of the sc2 team and the blizzard community team.

We have to wait till 2008 for the Zergs I guess. :-[
I was really looking forward for a Zerg announcement before Christmas but from the looks of it, my dreams has been shattered. :-\

Hopefully we'll get Zerg by this year but I doubt it. And since there's only one more week to Christmas I don't think they'll let Zerg out yet.

 

for all we know they could have finished what they wanted to have complete for zerg last week, but r just waiting until christmas to release them.

 

I dont think they will release anything new until the end of January next year.

i think they are trying to implement day and night cycle for starcraft 2 which will defintely affect gameplay.

Hmmm...well it could be any one of those. It seemed like he was hinting at something more than StarCraft II though. So I'm going to say that it is the super-secret mysterious "team 3" project. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us.

Lol just to piss off al you zerg lovers i bet zerg wont be out for christmas. there ganna reveal the 3ed team projuct or something. lol Zerg will be held back just to keep u guys coming around and voicing your thoughts on the terrans and protoss.

Maybe it'll be a new year's present. Just come out quietly on New Year's Day on their site complete with a video and unit/building info.
