This thread is dedicated to the success of the pokemon games though the ages. These vids compare music soundtracks from red/blue, silver/gold, ruby/saphire, and diamond/pearl. The strange toy at the intro for a split second in some of the vids is the guys trademark.

It may take a second or two for the video to start, but if you liked the gameboy games, its worth watching and able to bring back memories ^_^.

I still get a few of these stuck in my head regularly...

The one that is burned into my head the most is the bicycle theme from gold/silver/crystal. I am always, always finding myself humming or whistling it....

 

Gah, the bike song.....I also get the do do DOO DOO DEE of the healing thingie stuck in the old noggin.

 

Memories indeed.

I still remember beating my first ever, Pokemon Yellow version. (The rarest of all the versions, it was the combination-special edition of the first three where you actually start with Pikachu.)

yes, green was the true rarest, only out in a few asian countries, if not only japan.

lugia rocked, they should make a remake of the gold/silver series with the new graphics, but old music

 

well...

i got blue version first

then silver

then i got sapphire

then i got leaf green

then i gave sapphire and leaft green away to other people

i lost my silver version (maybe i can find it)
my blue version is screwed cause i caught a missingno



edit: and sometimes between the time when i got my blue version and the time when i got silver, i got a yellow version for free

 

I remember messing up my whole game when I cought that weird missingno pokémon (at cinnebar island in the water, you had to swim across the edge and then gary would appear and summon it, really weird) in the blue or red version, I can't remember anymore. Nothing worked anymore, so I throw the whole game away.

 

lets see...

got gold first

then yellow

then red (i know, I went in the wrong direction, after gold, I wanted to see what the origionals were like)

then crystal

then saphire, leaf green, and finally, diamond.

unfortunately, my earlier games up to crystal are currently missing and I can't find them
I gave my yellow version to my youngest sister, and she lost it

 

I got Silver, Pokeman Stadium (Hellz ya), Sapphire, then Diamond. Third friggen best RPG's of all time

 

forgot about PKMN coloseum, I got that to, and the bonus dick to get Jirachi for ruby and saphire. Jirachi was fun to have, basicly a second Mew.

 

Lol.

On the whole, I was really disappointed with the Regis. I mean, seriously....You go through all that crap to get 'em, they're friggin' impossible to catch, and they suck AND blow. On the flip side, Blaziken is freaking GOD. He frikkin' annihalites the Elite Four in Saph, and he's damn good against them in Diamond as well.

 

I personally liked sceptile better, its speed allowed it to almost always go first against any pokemon, and its leaf blade attack just owned. I was happy to see that leafeon got that attack as well, it beat up every type except fire types, but stil does decent damage to them as well.

 

Heh heh, I have all three, and all their unique-ish ones are amazing, but Sky Uppercut is a godly attack.

I was less impressed with the starters in Diamond. I ended up with the Empolean, cause I'm a fan of Steel (Who isn't?) but I rarely use him. Sadly, my Diamond Elite team has 4 from Sapphire XP
