I haven't played SEA games since my Diamond account roughly 4 or 5 months ago. 23-14 win to loss. (this was when Diamond was the highest league possible) Now I am playing for fun with my friends on NA servers, they've only been playing SC2 for about 3 or 4 months.. and they're not the best, but not the worst. I've never played 3's or 2's till I played with them, how come we got into platinum in both 2's and 3's? I thought platinum was something you had to actually practice a bit for, I literally didnt care about these games and didnt try as hard as I could of.. Platinum 3v3 games just seem so easy nowadays, I'm either dominated because my allies make some wrong moves or we just dominate them easily without trying... I thought the bracket was a bit harder but we keep vsing people who are more favoured and winning without hesitation, we're rank 1 on our league as well. It's weird, we're not even playing to win, just to have fun. p.s we're getting about 70% win ratio in 2's and about 80% in 3v3.
I hope you realise that platinum is only about halfway through the range of possible skill levels. And that this doesn't fit into strategy at all. Though I doubt this will generate discussion (what is there to discuss here anyway?) I'll move this to the appropriate section for you.
Nope, I agree with you, Platinum is ridiculously easy even in 1v1. Got there during my very first 27 duels in SC2...
I agree with the first poster, there's not much to discuss here. Platinum in team leagues is bleh, I don't understand why you even expect a "decent" balance of games. Multi-player ladder games are all the same MOST OF THE TIME, you either pwn them hard or they pwn you hard, and there's no need to blame your teammates for making "the wrong moves", you are a team in the end. If you are expecting good games then play 1v1, if not then have some laughs or some rage in the multi-player leagues, thats that.
