Pet comments

For those who don't know, you can create personalized comments for your pets by using the message feature at the bottom of the 'Buy Pets' page, however, it'll only work when you buy the pet and will only show on the pet bought. Oherwise it'll state "no message" when people mouse-over your pets.

So, who else here uses the pet comment feature?


Here's mine:

Kerrigan - "Infested Kerrigan"

Mutalisk - "I'm in your minerals, harassing your workers!"

Queen - "zerg queen - pet icon created by me " (my own little way at advertising )

Zergling - "crackling ftw!"

Baneling - "static defences? ......time to show my devotion!"

Hydralisk - "Terrans sux lol, I mean bwaaaaaah!!!"

 

People haven't really had enough time to buy any pets yet.

 

how so? I've already gotten 6 pets. 2 of them costing over 5k.

You said that ppl didnt have enough time to collect pets yet, and I was proving that you're 100% wrong.


I don't even post that much, most of what I've gotten is from thread views/etc.


EDIT: by looking at the richest users, everyone in the top 50 have over 2.5k, which is enough to get a few pets. Also Meee has 15k, and you GMG have 9k. So no, ppl have had plenty of time to start buying pets.

meh, apparently I'm the only one who's interested in the comment option for the pets. Nice concept, but obviously noone cares to use it.

May as well let this thread die out like every other thread I make.

Well, once I buy pets I was going to name them, but I plan to buy them all at once so I can leverage the interest to gain minerals more quickly.

 

You does not equal people. You're obviously wealthier than most. Anyways, just because you got cash to spend doesn't mean you have to. Lots of people here, such as BoP and I are keeping the money even though we could buy what we want so that we can aquire bank interest.

Why aren't people buying pets? The shop is fully stocked. Let's say I want a Legendary Probe, and so does BoP (as well as many others). Would BoP feel threatened by me? No, cause there's 9 more if I were to buy one. While I rush to quickly get a Legendary Probe (like you buying all your stuff) BoP can save his 10 000+ in the bank and hoard interest like a maniac. End result is that when 9 people finally reach the 10 000 min group, BoP (and the other 8) is logically threatened and finally buys the Probe (I expect some items to suddenly disappear from the shop like this. not instantly but still). But by then he will have earned a lot from banking and will get his second item a lot faster than me.

 

Apparently nobody mouses over everyone else's pets anymore.

Mine are their phrases when they're fully trained and leave the building.

true, but what I said was that people have had time to buy pets, which you said they didn't. The fact that some have the minerals for the most expencive pet proves that they have had the time to buy them, but decide not to. Personally, I also hoarded minerals when I was newer to this forum, I had debated if I wanted to get the queen when she was 10k or save the minerals in the bank to make interest.

The interst is good, but considering I've gotten most of what I wanted to get, I don't have much of an use to save up for the sole purpose of interest. I decided to get pets now while they're stocked instead of risk it and then suddenly they sell out.

I'm also wondering how I became one of the more wealthy members since I don't post as much as others and never got to the top 10 before getting the Kerrigan Doll.

 

I didn't mean it that literally. Yeah everybody could have bought a couple Zerglings.
I am thinking that my plan to save my money for interest is a rule that I can't brake. I am unable to buy pets.
A lot of members have around 4-2k, but who said they are aiming for the cheapest items? They might want Carriers too. Sure if you take it literally they can buy a Zergling if they wanted, but they definitely won't if they are aiming for something bigger. in that sense they don't have time to buy small pets as it would delay the real item they want.

I think you're the only one on the forum who can say you have most of what you want. I myself have ways to go.

What I am saying is that just because you don't value the interest doesn't mean I think it's a very good reason not to buy what I want yet.

 

i bought zerg and protoss icons to show people that i cant use the terrans for crap. LOL, but who knows? maybe terran will be my fvourite race in sc2...we'll see. =]

ive written famous quotes on my icons.

 

zerg is actually my worst race to play as, but I'm more interested in thier mechanics in SC2 than the other races.

btw, I forgot, how many pets are shown in posts? Isn't it 8?
