    I'm here. :D

I'm getting my new computer soon (old one died, there was smoke, not fun) and I plan on playing various games, SC2 being one of them. I never got to much of a chance to play SC much as I stuck to shooters mostly. However, I managed to restart my love for RTS by playing Red Alert on my old 10 year old computer. Excited for SC2 and probably going to get some other good RTS's while I wait.

    Feel free to ask questions

    Welcome to the forum.
Any other rts games you play besides Red Alert? You might want to practice a lot before SC2 is released. Most players online will eat you if you never practice. ^^

Back then I was 11 so my basic strategy was make the cheapest unit and rush. Since then I've mostly done the Call of Duty series as I prefered fps games, I should be getting my new computer by the end of this month and then I'll probably get various titles just to get in that RTS mind set. Obviously I have tons to learn. I was planning on getting 2 RTS's to look at before SC2. Any recent ones I should look at that our similar? Or shall I just find SC itself?

Also thanks for the warning Mee, but my philosophy is only post when I have an idea worth posting.

I would certainly reccomend to purchase a copy of Starcraft: Brood Wars. To learn more for a decent price: Warcraft 3 uses an UI similar to Starcraft 2, and has about the same controls. There are many more, but these two should keep you amused for months. Especially online you can learn a lot.

Ah, well I am from Illinois, but I live in Wisconsin, though I am moving to Norway. So don't be alarmed when I talk with Norsk, it helps me learn by using it. I normally put the translation down though.

Hyggelig å møte deg. (nice to meet you)

    Haha. Will do. :)

Edit: I'm in a really good mood. I found both a Starcraft chest (Original and Brood War + guides to both games) and a Warcraft 3 (RoC and Throne + guides). Both will end up being $60. That would probably help me some and keep me entertained for hours. :D
