Patch notes 8 (PROBABLY FAKE)

    StarCraft II Beta – Patch 8 (version 0.9.1.14341B)

    Balance Changes


    * TERRAN

    o Marauder

    + The vespene gas cost has been increased from 25 to 50.
    + The damage has been changed from 10+10 armoured to 8+12 armoured.

    o Hellion

    + The damage has been changed from 8+6 light to 8+10 light
    + Infernal Preigniter now increases +light damage +6 instead of +10

    o Siege Tank

    + The vespene gas cost has been decreased from 125 to 100

    o Bunker

    + The hit points have been increased from 400 to 500

    o Medivac

    + Fixed an issue that sometimes caused it to cease healing friendly infantry

    o Raven

    + Hunter Seeker Missile now causes a red graphic on it's target unit

    o Thor

    + Slightly reduced collision size to improve unit pathing.


    * PROTOSS

    o Warp Prism

    + Shields increased from 40 to 50.

    o Sentry

    + Force Field energy cost increased from 50 to 75.
    + Hallucination energy cost decreased from 100 to 75.

    o Pheonix

    + Build time decreased from 45 seconds to 30 seconds.

    o Immortal

    + Damage decreased from 20+30 armoured to 15+25 armoured.

    o Carrier

    + Interceptor range decreased from 8 to 7.

    o Twilight Archon

    + Attack range increased from 2 to 3.


    * ZERG

    o Zergling

    + Build time increased from 24 to 28.

    o Roach

    + The vespene gas cost has been increased from 25 to 50.
    + Base armour value has been decreased from 2 to 1.

    o Queen

    + Transfusion amount healed has been increased from 125 to 200.

    o Infestor

    + Infested Terrans duration increased from 20 to 30.
    + Infested Terrans spawned increased from 1 to 3.
    + Infested Terrans energy cost increased from 25 to 50.

    o Ultralisk

    + Slightly reduced collision size to improve pathing



    Bug Fixes


    * Fixed an issue in which players would desync when building mutliple Nexus at once.
    * Fixed an issue that caused enemy colours to swich during the game
    * Fixed a bug that temporarily locked the interface in the event of mutliple shift commands
    * Fixed an exploit where Zerglings could climb cliffs on certain maps

    ROACHES GOT FINALLY NERFED PROPERLY! WOHOOO! Excuse the caps lock but I just had to.

    Immortal and Carrier changes I don't think were called for. The force field energy cost increase I am unsure about.

    Otherwise I think pretty good balancing.

    wow, these come out really quickly, don't they?

    i never really considered the marauder that OP as a general-use unit. doubling the gas cost is huge... maybe they want people to use more marines in the M&M mix?

    and huge immortal nerf. wow.

    Well, these changes haven't actually happened yet so I'll be waiting to see if this actually happens.

    Although I must say, I'm pretty happy about the nerf to the roaches and maruders, more so the roaches. I have to agree with Boson on the Immortal change, I don't really like it, i don't think there was a good reason for it. As for the sentry energy change, I'm not happy about that at all. That's actually a pretty huge hit to protoss players. Before you could simply warp in a sentry and it'd already be able to use forcefield once, so it was very versatile and easy to get a force-field up. Now with the energy change, that's not going to happen.

    Of course, these changes still haven't happened so I won't think about them to much until I see they are. But it does seem to be pretty good balancing.

    i cant belive it they just fixed sc2 perfectly AWESOME PATCH IS FREAKING AWESOME!

    I agree with some of the changes especially with the roach but i dont believe these are legit, lots of spelling errors unless blizz realizes this. Also the bug fixes seem a little.. preposterous.

    Yeah, Blizzard doesn't spell "Armored" as "armoured." Whoever put this together was British.

    Canadians spell armored as armoured =(
    I'm Canadian! LOL
    Though I do like these patch notes if they were ever implemented, some of it is not bad.

    Those changes would be good..! I like them all, but it smells fake.
    Especially now that Jon has checked it out.

    Everyone except the Yanks uses a variant of British spelling. Your culprit could be Canadian, South African, Australian, Welsh, Irish, Indian, etc.
