    So, basically, Ultralisk speed is 2.9531 I'd expect a nerf to 2.953 though. Also, I know I'm not using the correct blue, please fix this Jon! And Fenix, I know you'll be *****ing about how it's actually teal and not blue. I'm prepared in advance. :D

    Balance Changes

    • PROTOSS
      • Archon
        • Build time decreased from 17 to 12.
    • TERRAN
      • Viking
        • Ground damage decreased from 14 to 12.
    • ZERG
      • Corruptor
        • Corruption energy cost decreased from 100 to 75.
      • Infestor
        • Burrowed move speed increased from 1 to 2.
        • Peristalsis upgrade removed.
      • Overlord/Overseer
        • Pneumatized Carapace cost increased from 50/50 to 100/100. (Overlord/Overseer speed)
      • Overseer
        • Infested Terran energy cost decreased from 125 to 100.
      • Roach
        • Organic Carapace upgrade removed. (regeneration)
        • Tunneling Claws now also increases burrowed regeneration rate from 5 to 10.
      • Ultralisk
        • Anabolic Synthesis upgrade removed. (Movement speed)
        • Health increased from 450 to 500.
        • Speed increased from 2.25 to 2.9531.

    Bug Fixes

    • Map Publishing: the default Battle.net host now points to the correct server.
    • Time Expiration notices that were added for testing of the Guest Pass functionality have been removed.
    • Fixed a crash when trying to open an old replay by double-clicking it in Explorer.

    And so is the situation report, reproduced below.

    Viking- Ground damage decreased from 14 to 12.

    The Viking’s damage has been reduced to make them a little less effective on the ground. Massed Vikings were a little too powerful in a few late game scenarios. Vikings have also become very dominant in terran vs. terran matches and we are testing to see if a small damage reduction will make some other units more viable.

    Archon- Build time decreased from 17 to 12.

    Archons can now merge a little faster so “mid battle merges” will be a little bit more practical.

    Ultralisk- Anabolic Synthesis upgrade removed. - Health increased from 450 to 500.- Speed increased from 2.25 to 2.9531.

    Ultralisks have been buffed to include their speed upgrade as by default and to give them a little more endurance in big fights. This may or may not be enough to get the Ultralisk ultimately where we want him to be. We will continue testing going forward.

    Infestor- Burrowed move speed increased from 1 to 2.- Peristalsis upgrade removed.
    Roach- Organic Carapace upgrade removed.- Tunneling Claws now also increases burrowed regeneration rate from 5 to 10.

    There are many different upgrades on the zerg, the Roach and the Infestor both had three upgrades. We are reducing and combining these upgrades so the units get a little bit more powerful or so that you have to buy fewer upgrades to complete your units. We have also reduced the cost of several energy abilities on the Zerg that didn’t see a lot of use. We will continue to monitor these abilities moving forward.

    What's the reasoning behind increasing overlord/overseer speed upgrade cost?

    This is pretty much a change that's intended to make this ability a little be less of a "gimme" and more of a choice.

    well, at least the ultralisk isn't totally useless... inherent speed increase and a small HP boost. i still think it was pointless in making it an anti-armor unit, though.

    roach finally gets an upgrade (sort of!)

    archon change, fully agreed.

    also, i never thought the viking ground attack was any good- much less too powerful. i have to say WTF to this.

    Hmm, as a zerg player, I think this is slightly better :)
    quite happy with it. I like the fact that upgrades are being merged as well. Infested terrans I still think wont be used. Contaminate is still a lot more useful IMO.

    It is a really good upgrade and they must have felt its cost needed to be increased.

    How they determine 50/50 is the right amount to increase it, I have no idea.

    ultralisks will still be underused because it's still relatively armored, so it will still die pretty easy, the speed buff was good though, but they didn't do sh!t about its cleave and damage

    roaches should get unburrowed regen back

    Protoss needs moar nerfs, especially on Void Rays.

    I've played about 200 games of SC2 beta so far, and I've only seen Ultralisks used at all maybe 3-4 times.

    Problem is that Zerg (let's take IdrA for example) go really heavy Hydra Roach armies (sometimes Muta Zergling Baneling), and they do not tech to the Teir 3 units such as the broodlord and the ultralisk!

    Zerg NEEDS to do that!

    As a note I played a game yesterday and roach burrowed regen was INSANE. i constantly kept interchanging burrowed roaches and defended easily.

    well as a person that plays all 3 races(but mostly terran) i think the viks need to be brought up in their ground dmg it needs to be about 13 cause 14 is “too powerful” and 12 is just too weak i mean i was doin a 2v2 yesterday and had about 16 viks and they fell to like 20 marines i mean cmon they just need a smidge of a buff and theyll be good. other than that im good except for the fact that i think archons need to take longer to morph theyre to powerful to morph that fast. well thats my $0.02 cya
