patch #12 problem?

hey everyone, I know this is an odd and rude way to introduce myself with an issue, but...
Hii everyone, I just got an account here cuz I love this game so much >.<
anyways...:
I just recently booted up my starcraft 2 as usual this morning when suddenly I got a patch 12 message and automatically started updating. I was like "whhhaaa? I thought I already download this a while back?", so I let it finish downloading and when I hit the play button and tried to login, it said "invalid version", so then I proceeded to throw a chair to the nearest wall and turn green and all that. lol jk about the chair and green I just got confused as hell.

anyone got the same issue?
-PS I'm aware that at the moment, blizzard is doing an update, I don't know if that has anything to do with it...
