Patch 11 - Horrible FPS on some maps?

    I am getting horrible FPS on only a few maps as of patch 11. Whenever I play on the maps Incineration Zone, Lost Temple and Kulas Ravine, my FPS drops from 150 to 7 a few seconds after the game beings. This does not happen for most of the other maps I tried, only these 3. Is this happening to anyone else? This has never happened prior to this patch.

    The code monkeys claim another victim.

    I've figured it out. Turns out it happens when your texture settings are set to Ultra. I toned it down to high and that fixed the FPS drop completely. Hopefully this issue will be fixed when the game comes out

    @dima: What are your specs?

    @Matte: If that were the case, there would be none of the problems we're having. Blizzard is THE best developer in the world but the tech support and trouble shooters they hired either didn''t have enough to work with or aren't up to the task.

    No wonder. That's your problem. There's a bug with the threads in i7's. Your getting massively gimped performance. Wait for them to fix it. Until then, yes, you'll probably have to tone down the settings.

    I have an i7 with a 5850 and it runs fine. Averaging 70-85 fps and the lowest i've seen it go is 45-50.

    Do you mean bug with hyper-threading? I've read that it doesn't help out in current games (on the contrary, actually). But it can be turned off so buying an i7 wouldn't automatically be a fail buy, would it? Unless you meant something else with 'threads'...
