Every time I try to boot up my Starcraft 2 game, the blizzard updater launches and starts downloading the new patch. This all goes fine until it reaches 70%. At 70%, for some unknown reason I get a no disk error that won't go away until the updater is closed. The download also freezes once it reaches this point. I can't seem to make any sense out of it.

This isn't actually the first time I've had this problem with a Blizzard game, although the last time was a while back and I can't remember how it got solved.

    Thanks

    Another problem with 1.0.3 Patch

My patch download got past the 70% mark, but the real issue cropped up at 99%. I got the follow error message:

The file "C:\Program Files\StarCraft II\Versions\Base15405\patch.SC2Archive" could not be renamed to "C:\Program Files\StarCraft II\Versions\Base15405\patch.SC2Archive.Trash". If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (ConflictManager::ResolveConflicts/3)

I contacted Blizzard tech support and they told me I had to uninstall and reinstall the entire game.

    WTF?!?

Good thing I ignored their advice and tried it again. It worked fine the second time.

    It goes to show:

    1. Very little testing has been done on these patches.
    2. Blizzard tech support is clueless.
    3. There is an enormous training opportunity for Blizzard tech support.

Hopefully others who get this error message will see this post before they follow Blizzard's advice to uninstall/reinstall...

fishermoon: Try running the repair tool before repatching (Start, all programs, StarCraft II, StarCraft II repair).

TeeBee: Read my FAQ and download the manual patches if you still have problems.

Please do not post multiple messages when you were the last replier so quickly. That is what the edit button is for.

Now, when your in StarCraft II, and your trying to log in, what is the version displayed in the lower left corner?

    Try my above advice:
At least try repairing before trying to patch. Are you installing the game now for the first time, or have you had it for awhile? If you are installing for the first time, you must download ALL of the patches, not just the newest one.

What region is your copy of StarCraft II?

Why are you trying to manually patch anyway? Is it simply because of this error, or are you behind a router and can't connect to the patch server? I'm off to bed, so let me know what's going on.

When im in Starcraft II, there was no version displaying at the lower corner.I cant find the Starcraft II repair tool ; I had the game recently and the game dont have any patch at all.I got the game from my friend, and he put some offline crack inside, the crack is LazyTown Launcher.
I got a North America Version of Starcraft II.I dont want to use manual patch, because it's too complicated to install and i dont know how to install too.

Just now i got open Starcraft II and i saw a breaking news for me .The current news is:" We are aware of the issue that is causing games to not be recorded properly. We are actively working to resolve this and will provide an update as soon as it is available.Thank you for your patience."
Are they currently working on an update that can cure this login failure problem?

We do not support warez copies of StarCraft 2. Go buy the game and you won't have these issues. This thread is closed.
