overlords changed to a building???

    i think thier going to change the over lord into a type of structure or something instead of having to creat a unit for cap. I found it a nuscience to keep track of my over lords considering that they always have the tendency to move around after you place them somewhere and then they get killed because they wandered off. they should change it to say like the terrain cap but not tottally the same, wouldnt that be a better idea? 8)

    nar, overlords are cool the way they are. if they get rid of overlords than they need new units to transport and detect.

    bad idea, i support gui's argument against it. just one of those things that makes your life difficult as a zerg

    Overlords is probably the most unique supply ever. It serves as a supply, + transport + detector. It can also fly around like a unit acting as a scout. Why would Blizzard remove something soo unique to the Zerg? If they actually remove the Overlords, I would be the first one to go on a rampage.

    ya and you just can't beet the felling of hering the valkary halo missiles go of and sudenly youre pop is 57 / 32 "spawn more overloards!

    yea. if they make it a building it'd just be like the other races.

    yeah , i completely forgot about the transport and detector thing, so yeah never mind overlords are ok but still a hassle to move around with.

    Yeah, besides, Overlords are also used as a means to scout when some noob keeps making pylons all over the map just to survive >.>

    yeah killing overlords is pretty cool, espeacially killing like 3-5 at the same time, "you need more overlords, spawn more overlords"

    If they replaced Overlords with a building, then that would suck. I like them being a unit, it's cool, and unique.

    They also want to keep all the races diverse and if Overlords were a building then bye air transport. Yeah there's Nydus Worm but we don't know how it works yet.

    Overlords are essentially one of the reasons zerg can expand so fast. If they didn't have that then zerg players couldn't set as many expos in hard to reach places as the other players. Besides, they act as a transport, a detector, and supply.

    What more could you ask for ;D

    lol. overlords are extremely useful. no zerg can live without them. although if blizzard turns the overlords into a building, you wouldn't have a problem on larvae anymore. but that's just impossible coz overlords are like second in command to the Cerebrates.

    I would prefer the overlord to remain as a unit that provides supply for the zerg. Because if the unit supply for the zerg is a building, then a drone is needed to become that building, meaning an extra 50 minerals and extra build time is required.

    Besides, I like this type of uniqueness for the Zerg. Contrasts between the 3 races is always good.

    Nydus Worms, where are they gonna be built from? You think a hatchery can spawn that huge of a unit?

    A nydus work could be an evolved overlord (remember how phoenixs in war3 would drop to the ground and become an egg?) Perhaps the overlord could morph into a nydus worm. Anyways overlords should not be buildings for a couple reasons. 1) Their name suggests they are lording over something or higher than it. 2) New Zerg detector required.... 3) It makes the races more unique. 4) New Zerg transport required... 5) How can overlords control the Zerg if they can't stay in control range.
    Its an interesting thought but imo doesn't contribute anything unique to the game.

    (edit) The only real advantage to this imo is that overlords couldn't be killed by spells like Psionic Storm or Erradiate and they couldnt be killed by AA units. (corsairs ftl, valkryies ftl)
