    We are the borg.
    you will be assimilated.
lower your shields and surrender your ships.
your technological and biological distinctiveness shall be added to our own.
your culture will adapt to serve us.
    resistance is futile.

Teleportation and assimilation against a target with meager internal defenses? Yeah, the death star will become a giant borg vessel.

    That's the first Death Star.

    To illustrate the second:

That is a ****eload of troops. The only actual numbers I could find for a Borg cube is 64,000-129,000.

The first Death Star has, at the very least, almost 10 times the sheer amount of people, not to mention thousands of dogfighting ships, and dozens of capital ships.

Also, I did a bit of research on the Transporter. It's severely limited by dense metals. All Star Wars vehicles are made with durasteel, which is roughly 300,000 times stronger than regular steel. This isn't even going into shields, both of which are termed 'deflector shield.'

    Sundays are very boring.

I 'unno. A borg cube could easily get inside the shield through transwarp. Teleport ten drones into the hangar bay, before being destroyed by the big gun. 8 drones die before they adapt. remaining 2 drones drop some nanotubes in hangar ships or stormtroopers. By the time the empire figures out how to harm the drones again, there are hundreds of infected stormtroopers and TIE fighters.

The death star may outgun the borg cube, but the borg have way superior ground troops and deployment. Including the ability to survive in space and penetrate forcefields.

That's of course assuming the borg play it smart, which they rarely do.

Transwarp is just a speed... How does it penetrate shields?

Well, it doesn't go through space. Space is where the shields are. There is a ridiculous distance between the shields and the death star.

    Oh. That makes sense.

Of course, I still think it would be difficult to beam through durasteel, and the bays themselves are protected with both shields and blast doors

Space Marine Battle Barge, oh fights over. Sure you get a few drones inside and they may assimilate a few chapter serfs, but they wont be able to punch through the marine's armour. Then its chainsword and powerfirst time.

You kidding? Unless we're talking PnP here, Space Marine armor might as well be paper.

40k Space marine armor would not be paper to the borg's nano-tendrils, maybe to their plasma weaponry, but no way in hell if they are in CC.

drones can simply walk through local force fields. Basically, beam em just in front, than they can walk in themselves.

Borg are waaaay OP unless you are prepared to fight them.

@gforce: Actually, borg nanotubes can go through far more surfaces than any weaponry they could produce. If something in existence can penetrate anything, its borg nanotubes.

Pff, a Wookie, a hired scumbag, an old dude with a glowstick and an insecure incest loving wannabe jedi took down the first death star. I'm quite sure that tens of thousands of highly advanced cyborgs are able to clear out the place.

That wookie is a hardened general of the Clone Wars.
That old man is a hardened general of the Clone Wars and has spacemagic.
That hired scumbag went on to become a hardened general of the Galactic Civil War.
That insecure incest loving wannabe Jedi became a hardened general of the Galactic Civil War and restarted the Jedi order.

    Meh.

Also, tens of thousands of Rebel troops died during both assaults.
