So tell meh wat units r u gonna miss da most from original sc nd wat units do u think we need in sc2. same way wit sc2 tell wat units do u like nd wat dont u like nd wat bout dem dont u like...

SC 1: Units I'll miss.

Medics. Possibly gamebreaking, but pretty fun. They'll be in the campaign though, where balance is less of an issue.

Corsair: The phoenix is becoming a worse replacement every minute.

SC II:

Terrans: Would love it if marauders got an AoE slow back. They can't replace firebats without it.

Zerg: I liked the old infestor and queen better.

 

Im missing good ol' carrier from SC1

 

id miss unis lik reav's and suchs...

For real - I cant take such language.

Ill miss the old queen (check some new Zerg pro replays, some fantastic use), reavers (again protoss corsairs + reavers on pro lvl. is fantastic) and medics (medic blocks anyone?) the most.

I'll be missing Defiler's Dark Swarm+ Zergling and Plague vs mass carrier or BC.

Last time I heard, t in SC2 here is nothing a Zerg could do vs mass BC. Defiler could

 

Ok, first of all, THERE IS NO TEMPEST, just adjustments to the carrier

Second of all, @Vodka -> what about mass hydras? thats 13 damage per hit so just focus fire. Of course, hydras are kinda really easy to kill with BCs, especially with good micro (1 per 2bc wave). In that case, use neural sumthing sumthing and fungal scourge on the bcs.
Protoss -> void ray fire with stalker support
Terrans -> viking focus-fire FTW
and i believe that it would take more than 2 waves of bc attack to kill one viking (I assume viking armor is 1?)

 

There was a tempest. It had different lore and a special shield type than the carrier. It was canceled before BlizzCon 2007, however.

I don't think that the fungal spore would work against BC, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it biological only attack?

The tempest was the dark protoss version of the carrier. But blizzard scraped it. But the model will still be in the editor, and so will all the other units from SC1, and removed units of SC2. So you can make the old starcraft in 3d with the Starcraft 2 editor. Which is much better than the Starcraft 1 editor, and Warcraft 3 editor. But this thread should be in general. And I believe there has been a thread like this. Blizzard put the models in the editor, because they knew we would want them back.

 

Would it be too much to sak for some good spelling and grammar and for everyone to be nice?

not so much units, but skills, I miss the blackhole, the MS and Thor having a place in the world, and the corsairs disruption web, The Tempest's shield was also neat
