My brother started playing SC2 about a month ago, (he was a very very good SC1 player).

I used to play SC2 well and was a very good player... but hadn't played for a solid year or so.

We both decided we should play together, versed each other twice.. then for the rest of the next two nights we did 2v2 AT. 5 wins to 0 losses and we were placed into Masters league. I couldn't really believe how easy it was, seeing as we were both so newb to the game at that stage. (we must have pulled our inner potential out or something)

I was expecting platinum easy, but woah.

Of course, the next games we played we played them together (LAN like) but it wasn't working since we were both on unusual computers and we couldn't chat to each other though we were technically LANing. Got DT rushed twice, and I don't want to sound like a jerk but my brother played really bad those two games.. probably because we were communicating bad, the enemies weren't master level (at least I hope they weren't, they were pretty awful)

    Just a little story.

Those losses were to place us in the new season, so now we're in Diamond.

    oh and hey all!

FYI, your single placement match at the beginning of a season has no impact on your placement. It is merely a filter to eliminate inactive accounts from divisions.

Secondly, team masters is extremely easy, so it's not exactly an achievement. Moreover, there's a huge gap between low and high masters, so even if you are in masters, there's definitely room for improvement ;)

Regarding gameplay and skills, 1v1 is what counts, which is a completely different story (and is harder to get masters in).

Lastly, I have no idea how communication while you are in 1 room can be ineffective :D

    Welcome back.

We were in rooms next to each other, about 3m apart and couldnt' see eachother or anything. Also music was blaring out of speakers next to us (not our choice). silly us.
