I install the patch, log in, and I am greeted with something along the lines of

"you need the Blizzard language pack to use that language"

    ....really? English?

I'm.... at a serious loss for that one. Did you download the game, or install of a DVD?

Installed it straight from the DVD, worked perfectly fine, downloaded the patch and then.....poof.

Having "optimized saving" has never been more worthless to me...stupid patch :p

    Ooooo...wait...the plot thickens....

I cannot log into my battle.net account at all. I type in my information and then the site claims to be "processing" but then just clears away everything as if nothing had ever happened.

The plot has been resolved! But the conclusion is scary...

apparently the patch changed my computer's date to august. Or maybe the patch is just a scapegoat and it is a funny coincidence.

    Weird problem, weirder fix.

AH HA, lol. The date itself was stopping you from playing? Maybe if we'd set time ahead before launch, all of us with advance copies could have played sooner? Unlikely but still. Good idea to change the time server for your clock update to something other then default. Tends to do a better job staying in sync if its not on the default Microsoft Time server.
