Every so often my SC2 will pause, and I'll get an error message saying that my graphics processor was reset. Normally, this wouldn't be a huge issue, but if I'm playing a game, I'll generally get dropped from it due to "lagging". On one occasion, the graphics card crashed all together and left my monitor black. I haven't run into this issue on anything other than SC2, so I'm assuming the two are related, though my own limited experience means it's likely I'm wrong. So far, I've gotten the error once or twice in 1v1, once in a 6 player FFA, and once while watching a replay. I don't see any consistency as to what could be causing it as far as what the computer is paying attention to. I run an ATI Radeon HD 4600 with 2 gigs of RAM. The temp hasn't gotten above 50-53C and the fan hasn't had a freak out, so I'm not sure what it could be. Thanks for the help.
Errhhhm well I don't know the min specs for sc2 off the top of my head but a pentium D is pretty dated. And I am not quite sure where the ATI 4600 sits, but it seems overall that your system is pretty dated. I would suggest, if you get into the game turning the graphic settings down as much as possible. I would also make sure your not running any other programs while sc2 is on seeing as though you have a limited processor. Other than that, try cleaning out all the dust from inside your case, cpu heatsink and video card.
