What do you guys like better? TP was just a little to gloomy for me. The wolf part of the game really bored me out of my mind. I just don't find what people see in it. Anywase the music is not as good as OoT either. The Hyrule field and Dungeon music really sucked in my opinion, but every other music was great. The dungeons are great in both games. They always kept me thinking, but I think OoT made me think more on dungeons. In items, TP definately wins, but I just think thats because TP was newer. Storyline wins on Tp too simple because they went more in depth on it and added more to it. Personally I like OoT more then TP. TP didn't really feel much like Zelda to me. Wind Waker had more of a Zelda feel then TP had in my opinion. I added Wind Waker incase you like it better then Tp and OoT.
well, some things just seem that way outta nostalgia. also, when you play the game determines a lot too. if you played OoT when you were but a wee lad of course it would seem better than Twilight Princess! You were too young to see the flaws. But i so agree, regardless. despite the fact i couldn't beat OoT. evil god-forsaken water temple. i did beat twilight princess, though. and i -liked- the gloom. reminded me of diablo x3
Ocarina of Time was one of the best games to even touch the N64... Same as Goldeneye 007, That was the best though...
Thats exactly why I replayed OoT Kurai. I loved everything about the game, but I think I was too concentrated on how epic the game was that I forgot all about the flaws. So I just started replaying it after 5 years(I beat it at age 8 or 7, but I started playing this game at 5. I couldn't read so I was stuck on kokiri village lol) and you know what I found? No flaws at all besides some glitches or so that you have to look hard for. Everything was just right on. The story, music, items, and monsters surpassed the level it was even supposed to be on. This game truly is a 10/10. I was exaggerating too much on TP. OoT beats it by far.
Galaxy pwned man. The Wii is not a hardcore system its just a party system that you can invite your friends to come over and have a fun time. It shouldn't be taking seriously, but for the hardcore games on it like TP and Metroid they're good but not nearly as good as the other 2 consoles hardcore games.
Mario Kart Wii is epic! As for Zelda, I've never been a big fan of it and never played OoT, so I'm going to have to go with TP since I actually got through the first 1/3 of it before getting bored. What can I say, I like racing/empire building games better.
I beat OoT a total of 17 times (seriously) so I know it inside and out. I started playing it when I was 12 and still play it when I get the chance, I don't own it however, so that isn't very often. I haven't beaten TP but I have played it. It is a well made game, I just haven't played through it, again, because I don't own it. And, I am loyal it OoT and Link to the Past.
Actually each of the 3 have the pluses and minuses. And what about Majora's Mask? Did you forget about that? OOT - Excellent storyline. And items in the game feel like they are earned. And everything bar the horseback archery seems rather easy though. A little too easy. And the graphics were awesome back in the day. But now they do show their age. I played it again. The Master Quest version of OOT (that came as a bonus disc to WW). And I was like wow those graphics seem a little outdated. But otherwise an awesome game. And the Master Quest is the same as OOT only difference is the dungeons are totally redone to be harder. The upped difficulty is really nice. That's how OOT should have been. Yay for better difficulty. But they aren't designed as well as the OOT ones are though. So it's a trade off. Majora's Mask - A relatively forgotten game. Hardly anyone speaks about it. Has most of the same issues as OOT. Bar: Much harder then OOT to do everything in it. Getting all 52 (I think) heart pieces and masks is rather hard. But doable. A nice difficulty. The 3 days scheme it has where you play the same 3 days over and over was brilliant in my mind. Lots to do and didn't really feel repetitive. Massive outside dungeon content. Ace. But relatively little inside dungeon content. Not so good. Different than OOT. And I liked it. WW: Cartoony graphics pissed off a lot of people including me. And you have to do a lot of sailing in the game. A ****load of it. ANd I'm only 1/4 way through the game now before I stopped playing it. The sheer amount of this really annoyed me. But in saying this the game is new and innovative. Basically OOT with cheesy cartoon graphics and sailing instead of running everywhere. A good game but the above two I think are better. TP: Graphically stunning. And the whole wolf thing is pretty cool. Mind you I don't know if the graphics will age in time. Maybe in 2018 I'll be abler to tell you. But now they're really good to me. Harder then OOT thank God. But not really hard either. Nice. And you don't have to stand up and act like a loony to use the Wii controls. A few flicks while sitting down works just fine. And the map is just huge. Nice all over. But my one big gripe with it is the game just gives you items at weird and random times and for no reason as well. And you've done nothing to earn it. Someone just pops up and says here have this. I don't really like giveaways in games. I want to feel as though I've earned all of my loot. And I don't feel this way here. And the storyline here is a little disconnected at times. The OOT one was way better. But overall an awesome game. So for me I vote like this: Majora's Mask the best in my opinion. OOT and TP equally awesome and 2nd in my opinion. And WW a easy 3rd. And to comment of the other console games of Zelda. Zelda 1 - great and 2nd quest is pretty hard. Nice. Zelda 2 - Nice under appreciated. And if you can beat the last boss (links shadow) without the old duck and stab the air over and over trick than you are a better man than I. Cause beating it in a fair fight is impossible. hardest boss of any game I've ever played (without the trick). LTTP - Very OOT like. Beautiful but just way too easy.
FOR GOD'S SAKE! FINISH THE WIND WAKER! YOU ARE MISSING SO MUCH! The plot gets so much better after the first part of the game. Furthermore, you don't have to sail that much anymore after getting the newest warp method. Majoras Mask was way to short if you only played the main storyline, the maks weren't that hard to get either. Getting all of those stray fairies and hearth containers sucked. And when you finally had the Great Fairy Sword and the Fierce Dieties Mask, you felt really sorry for ever getting them, since all of the pride of beating the game just vanished when everything got so easy. Hoewever, I will never forget transforming into a Goron for the first time. I choose OOT: Master Quest edition. The best true Zelda ever. TP was way to easy, especially with Midna giving you hints out all the time. (and that postman XD)
