so i just played a game in which the guy nydus wormed me, now my first instinct told me KILL KILL so i did, as i did with my relatively large thought i wondered if that was the best strat, so the next time he dropped a nydus i simply watched it, then as soon as units started to pop out i killed them very quickly, this seemed a little risky, but because they came out one at a time i figured i would have an advantage over them and be able to deal more damage than if i went against them in his base (which was what i was about to do) it worked out rather well. has anyone else found it beneficial to let a nydus happen as the troop are very vulnerable at that point?
it depends, he could just be using it as a distraction and attacking the front of your base with a larger force, have that in mind next time aswell
It's much better to get the unit kills if your confident you can. As you noted, units spawn out 1 at a time from a Nydus Worm, making it fairly easy to overcome them if the bulk of your units are nearby. If nothing come outs then just finish the worm (he doesn't have to unload them afterall). Now here is MY thought on Nyuds Worms: If the entire worm is destroyed (i.e. all loading points) the units should be instantaneously released from the last worm destroyed instead of being lost for good. As Admiral Ackbar likes to say, "IT'S A TRAP!"
I think the only thoughts of such a worm is 'To dig, or not to dig, for that I wait on orders' and maybe 'argh, blargh, hit, dying'
i do what supaboih mentioned, often ill throw raoches through my nydus while i do my big attack at the front. I never send everything through my nydus because
