Hey, i play zerg the most. I have been trying the nydus network a few times, et works really efficient, but one weakness is the fact that the 2nd worm (the exit) generates creep. when they generate creep it become much much easier to find out that there is something wrong in your base (for Protoss and Tarren). So let me hear you guys about the Nydus Network and the generation of creep
A video from somewhen in the beta. You'll see a 2v2 (ZZ v PT) where both Zerg-Players only go for queens. Nothing more! With some nydus they pump the queens right into the enemy bases. Creep is really necessery for this strategy. As you can see, they don't come to early with their nydus so they instantly come with a lot of units. If you try using nydus like a protoss uses a proxy pylon you won't come to far. I'd rather assume you mass up, put a nydus as far as possible into your enemys base and instantly go for the economy. Your enemie then tries to get his units back to his eco but to late to defeat you. If you took a few workers you can go for a few spine crawlers and your enemy is history (no need to go just queens, but a very interesting and funny video )
you need to have your army ready BEFORE you make your nydus exit, otherwise you are giving time for the creep to spread and make it noticeable. SO put your army in the nydus, then make the exit, once its done, unload... so that you are inside before he notices. TIP: move the first units that come out of the nydus (rally point), otherwise, if there isn't enough space, the nydus will stop pumping out. I always send some zerglings with my nydus to go for the workers, while my hydras and roaches take out the tech buildings. Feel free to run back into the nydus when you see he has come back to defend his base, you would have saved your army, and he has lost part of his economy along with the tech he needs to keep massing and counter you.
If you are building the nydus worm in his base, Try building nydus worm somewhere near his base but not in his base
@cHowzilla I do always have my army prepared before i build the exit, i tend to use Zerglings, Banelings and roadches when i do the Nydus, nothing more tech.
if the guy hasnt gone holy **** there are zerg in mmy base there must be a nydus i dont think he is going to notice creep. also they make a sound when they apear when i hear that i look around my base and check for a nydus.
