Noob Question About Controllers

I played StarCraft a long time using the mouse.

Will the gameplay for StarCraft II be enhanced, made easier, etc. by buying a controller?

If so, could someone recommend one or two?

    Thank you.

Are you joking? Or no. Well anyway, Starcraft 2 will not require a controller, or even use a controller.
It's a PC game, and no matter what you compare a keyboard and mouse to, nothing is faster.
Edit: Fixed controller to mouse, my bad getting mixed up.

If I were joking, Sniper, would I have labelled the question, "Noob...."? So no, it was not a joke.

I fully realize that a controller is not required, but you can use one. If you read the question, I was asking for knowledgeable insight, not criticism for asking the question.

And let me get this straight, you're saying nothing is faster than a "keyboard and controller" or did you mean a keyboard and mouse?

I have no idea why you would want to use a controller with a RTS.

Yes, I meant mouse, and i'm sorry. It's just it makes absolutely no sense to play Starcraft with a controller.

    Thank you.

Thanks for information. It was what I needed. The guy at GameStop was pushing one (controller) and it didn't make sense to me. I thought maybe gameplay could some how be enhanced by newer technology.

What about these specialized gaming keyboards that have been sold in the past? Any opinions on these?

I personally have a labtec standard keyboard. It works fine and I personally don't think specialized gaming keyboards really make that much of a difference. It might help in it's own ways, but what you pay for is what you get.

Unless you're a high Diamond player (which you're obviously not) nothing is going to help you. Those keyboards are just used to streamline certain things which you probably wouldn't even use until higher level and higher intensity games.

That would be the original Starcraft, you do not need to do that now...

    Why?

    Why is it unnecessary now?

I know that, but doesn't some of it still apply? If anything it shows that you don't need some fancy keyboard.

A controller might be nice for custom maps though that don't play like an RTS.
