Well, IMO I liked the science vessel alot more! First of all the Nomad's appearance is not very good. They also did not mention that it will have irradiate, which i loved. Although the new defense matrix is good... With that being said, I loved the appearance of the science vessel and all of its skills, besides defense matrix. I thought it was a "fitting" scientist for the terran... Let me know what you guys think!

I chose Nomad, just because I would like to see change from Starcraft 1. I definitely agree that its appearance stinks, but I'm sure that they will revamp it just like they did with the Siege Tank, since everybody seems to share this opinion. I also like its name.

As far as its abilities go, the new Defensive Matrix is fine, EMP is fine, and the Nano-Repair is fine. I do miss Irradiate, but as I said above I like seeing new stuff. So far though we haven't really seen any large-area damage abilities yet (not counting Black Hole, it was axed) so I wonder if they have just not put any in yet, or are taking them out alltogether.

I see what ur saying, but I honestly am not a fan of the nano-repair. the SCV can already heal mechanical units...

EDIT: Also, other races do not have a mobile healer, does not seem very fair...

My honest answer is neither. Science Vessels vs 100 Mutalisks = omgwtf?

Whine and Cheese aside, i would choose the Science Vessel. The Nomad looks horrible, aside from the fact that it doesn't have Irradiate, which makes it an extremely poor replacement for the Science Vessel.

Y'know this was actually pretty tough...but I might have to go with Nomad just because I love the Defense Matrix ability.
Not a big fan of nano repair and its look though, but the look will most likely be revamped or something to look more like the Science Vessel

    I do miss Irradiate though

I dont care about looks really so I choose the Nomad as its new defensive matrix seems very good and its insta-200hp-repair skill is brilliant to help keep afleet of BC's alive.

it just does not seem very fair for a group of bcs to get an AOE defense matrix and instant 200 hp heals...

Yes, since the terrans already have medics for ground units and SCVs for mechanical units everywhere, a repairing ship was certainly usefull. I just hope it spends minerals/gas when doing so, and that it isn't instant. It would feel like R2 robots in Star Wars, repairing ships amidst battles. And defensive matrix was too hard to use in SC1, it kinda needed the buff.

Anyway, I choose Science Vessel because of the looks. Nomad has a cooler name, but a lousy looks. It should look more like a gadget than a sub-sea exploring robot. (o_O) Give it some hanging, welding, uneven arms, that would justify it's repairing concept. And make it look more like a non-fighting unit: less aerodinamic and more clumsy. Hope they can fix it.

HAHA! The nomad looks hilarious! It's like a flying moon Lander!

But I vote for explorers (my name for Science Vessel). Irradiate saved me many a time.

I like the old science vessel beter if there is not going irradiate for nomads then there beter be irradiate for something else. Change the look it looks like something I can't put my finger on.

I once dreamnt of great repair for BCs. Nomads do that, so I prefer them, even if they look worse than a zerg.

Yeah, 200hp in one go is a MASSIVE amount to heal.

They better heal as slowly as the SCVs, or it's OP! And they better spend minerals on doing it too! If they instantly heal, while beeing able to cast defensive matrix, and beeing able to regain their energy with Starbase, and don't require minerals and/or gas to do it: forget the Thor, THEY are the Terran super-unit!
