No More First Race Name?

Well hello there friends, well im very wondering because i noticed that the Units now does'nt have their first Race Name, i mean like this in Starcraft and Starcraft Broodwar the units named like this [ Protoss Zealot , Terran Marine , Zerg Zergling]

But now i noticed they dont have Race name like this [ Zealot , Marine , Zergling ]
See the difference my Friends, hmmm well which one would you like still, With their Race Name or With no Race Name ???

Probebly with name because I'm new in star craft and very very skilled in RTS game's so that help's heap's and yeah probebly with name but in other game's its no name just the unit's name , which I ain't fussed about but I probebly prefere without because You will know what unit is in which race , well I do in game's very quickly and also yet another interesting topic there man

i uNderstand lol, but for me i would like to have a First Race Name to determined if it is Protoss Terran Zerg

 

wouldn't need one; if it's slimy and scary it's a zerg
if its a rag-tag construction and oblitorating it's terran
if it's shiny and damn powerfull it's a protoss

Lol nice one there and for protosscommander bro he mean's the look's like iff it's creepy then it's zerg and iff it's big and armory then it's terran and iff it's bling blingish then it's protoss like he mean's that You can tell by the look's of a certain race and unit.

 

Well, coreyb if ever they did not put a First Race name, in SC2 well fine lol its okey, but for my own idea much better to have a Race name for easily determined

 

Hehe you're right. In the maps I made I always deleted those "first names" The shape and the power of the units make them easy to distinguish the races.

 

I liked them, but I'm a stickler for formality.....I just think it sounds better. Zealot. Blah. Protoss Zealot. Getting there. Protoss Zealot of the Aiur Home Defense Praetorate....Oooooh yeeeeeeah.

 

I like the sound of the units with race names in front, the only exception being the Zerg Zergling. I'm glad there's no Terran Terrain Roamer or Protoss Protector.

 

Oops.. i thought you meant if there was supposed to be a first race name as in like, Zerg Zerg, or Human Terrans or something but i vote for yes but i voted for no no knowingly

 

why would u not want it? it's pretty useless but it makes the game more formal.

I noticed this too a while ago. I prefer the names with no first race name. I don't think it's neccesary.

 

when the first game is launched nobody knew if the zealot was a terran unit or the whether the hydralisk was protoss unit, so they put race name in front of unit name so people would know which race they are, now that everybody knows, it's no longer needed

 

there will be new players of sc2, two friends of mine are going to buy it and they never play SC

i personally like the first name thing, it adds a sense of formality and pride to the unit's name.
instead of: Marine
you get: Terran Marine
Commander (or whatever it is)
It makes the unit feel more powerful and defined. I think there is a HUGE difference in saying, for instance:
Thor and Terran Thor. it just sound's proper to me.
