Nice Screen Shots

I don't know if everyone has seen these but I thought I'd share them with all of you since they look really good.
They consist of 'unit hordes', basically screens of mass Marines and stuff

Do those overlapping BCs look ugly or what? And the pics with all the Marines on them... they gave my left index finger the twitch to hit 't'

 

These screens are pretty nice, but I still wish that BC's wouldn't be stackable. It looks way to ugly.
But just look at the building shields, they look so nice, I almost want to lick my screen... Almost.

 

yup, the BC looks ugly...probably it is because its green

 

Light green, even. It's nice to know that they're playing around with the saturation.

 

Great find! I never saw these before. I don't like the battlecruisers stacking.

 

The BC commander looks leet BTW.

But it isn't nice to know that they seem to think that candy green is a nice color to dress an army in...
I am still hoping for custom colors and/or customizable patterns, but it seems that that is not going to happen. At least not right away.

Also, the energy and health bars aren't that nice either. They are the same as in the first game...
When you select an entire army of Zerglings, it will look like you have selected an army of energy bars.

 

What I meant is that it is a relief to know that the green team color probably will end up darker than that, since Blizz said that they are trying a more realistic saturation.

 

Good stuff, Zergalicious! Those are some pretty badass screenshots.

I love the new Robotics Facility design. I found the old one so ugly with that bulky claw-crane hanging over the main structure. I love how streamined it is now.

 

I dont know, but I think it would be good if marines would automatically organize themselves in squads and the BCs would come in some sort of tactical formation. Just for the look. It would make it nicer, because the BCs look quite funny being stacked like that, especially for a 3D engine.

 

I have to say, seeing a group of battle cruisers in a flying V would be freakin awesome. makes me wonder if blizz would implement formations for units?

 

I don't think Blizzard has plans to implement formations at the moment.

I agree with some of the other posts - the Battlecruiser stackage looks ugly. I'd really like Blizzard to remove any air unit stack-ability in the game - A) it looks bad, and B) it's not like air units can overlap like that in real life!

 

The BC does look pretty bad when stacked. Also I think part of the reason it looks so bad is because this was taken on a cell phone, and they can't take pictures of monitors well at all.

 

for looks, yes
from tactical point of view I don't think it would be good idea since there'd be only 1-2 BCs per row they could get destroyed almost one by one by a larger massed group

 

Besides how often do you ever get to mass BCs?

 

not often.

i think stackable should be good for micro management (ie. the mutslisk stack/hit-run tactic) but the looks is kinda bad....maybe muts stack wont look that bad.

but it still look and feel like starcraft only better. 8)

 

Oh my god. It actually went inside the other BC, that is very bad. Blizzard needs to impliment some kinda hit test script to stop this or at least limit it. It only works with small flyers not capital ships.

 

look at the top right corner of the first pic, there is some sort of nuke signal there
