As we know from before, the obelisk is gone, and it's now the nexus that takes care of the Protoss macro mechanic(s).
Karune recently revealed an ability called time warp, which temporarily speeds up the unit warping and upgrade researching of a selected structure for a limited time.

I think time warp sound like a fairly interesting ability. What could make it even more interesting though, would be if you could use it on unfinished structures to hasten their warp-in, or on units to increase their movement speed. Lots of possibilities there, although they might be hard to balance.
What do you think of time warp?

Just the name sounds great to me. But OP too. This will give an advantage to the Protoss it's sure. But a temporary advantage, anywhere in the map. As the Zerg can move definetly faster on the creep, this substance doesn't take the totality of the map. I could say it is balanced between the P and the Z.
But what for the Terrans ? They are already strong enough you will say.

It's not been said what the Nexus' range is. Of course there's the possibility that time warp can be used anywhere on the map, but there could also be a limit to it, such as:
it can only be used within x units of the Nexus, or
it can only be used in pylon power.

As far as it being "OP"... Nothing beta can't handle.

All its been confirmed to do is increase the speed of production/research of a targeted structure, and that it is the same kind of "macro ability" that Orbital Command is for the Terrans and Queens are for the Zerg. Range is not indicated.

Orbital Command lets you choose between MULES(resource boost), Scans(long range vision/detection) and Supply Drop(permanent upgrade to a Supply Depot)

Queen lets you choose between Spawn Larvae(resource boost), Infusion(powerful heal/repair spell) and Spawn Creep Tumor(expands creep coverage via what is essentially burrowed Creep Colony)

Both of them require you to have the first military building, Barracks and Spawning Pool respectively, and an additional 150 Mineral fee thereafter. You are also limited to one macro tool per HQ, as Orbital Command is a direct upgrade of the CC, while you are allowed only 1 Queen per Hatchery type structure. They in turn use energy for their abilities.

Nexus' Time Warp presumably has the same requirements. Its an interesting ability, because even though it is only one ability, it can be used in 3 different ways, matching that of the other two structures:
    1. Casting it on the Nexus itself lets you get Probes built faster.
    2. Casting it on Gateways and the like allows you to build military units faster.
    3. Casting it on Cybernetics Cores and the like allows you to research techs faster.

Hence, a full comparison of Macro Powers
    Zerg: +Larvae, +Creep Colony, Heal
    Terran: +MULE, +Supply, Scan
    Protoss: +Probe(buildrate), +Military(buildrate), +Tech(researchrate)
