I have seen the first video before, but it had been split up into several different ones. This was like a neat compilation. The second one was new. Very long, very interesting.

When the Overlord creep drops it should go lower to the ground and insert its tentacles into the earth to produce the creep as lore-wise it doesn't have that much liquid and whatever else to spit out creep like that for such extended periods of time.

Those Ultralisks seem to be attacking rather quickly. Am I seeing things or has the Ultralisk model been cleaned up since last we saw it?

Also, look at 6:40~6:45 in the second vid. Are we seeing a return of the Swarm Clutch? :)

That would make the Overlord a ground target seeing as it's tentacles aren't that long, and that would hardly favor it as it suddenly would be susceptible to ground attacks. Being immobile is balance enough to justify the ability, especially considering the detection and transportation nerfs the Overlord has suffered.

Maybe it looks weird that they can puke forever, but I would say the same about any shooting unit in the game. Isn't it weird that Marines seem to have endless supplies of ammunition?

I doubt it. This video is old, and the Ultralisk looks the same to me.

No, the content of the video is just old. Only the submitting of the video is recent.

I don't mean for the Overlord to actually touch the ground, I just mean go a little closer and have it extend the tentacles.

    Look at the picture. V

Do you realize how high above the ground an Overlord (or any air unit) is?
Getting a little closer would hardly help. It would either have to extend it's puny tentacles by like 1000% or become a ground target. Growing and shortening tentacles by that much would look more awqward (and less cool : P) than the puking IMO, and making it a ground target would be unbalanced and annoying.

Never seen these vids, but I lol'd at the guys talking.

Edit: on a second note, did anyone else notice that the ultra had two icons for its attack?

My guess would be one for unit damage and another for its structure bonus, as when it attacks structures it clearly has a different animation. Possiblly, I don't know.

That would make sense, because it can't attack air and I remember hearing it has a different attack against buildings somewhere.

That's right. 20 damage + 5 vs buildings. That does not make them any better vs buildings though.

    Nice one.

Notice the Overlord has a Broodling icon?

    Edit:

This is probably the ability to corrupt minerals.

    -.-

The videos in the original post are nice though. I didn't know that the creep spitting was a 'channeling' ability.

Does anyone know what is cast in the mineral line at 4:00 in the first video?

I am 99% sure that's Dark Swarm. He marked an Infestor and clicked the first ability. The Infestor's starting ability that doesn't require research is DS, suggesting that that's what it is. Then, he moved around the template that shows how big a surface DS can cover. But, as you can see, he canceled it after a short while. No ability was actually cast.

Well I have to agree with GMG, this video IS old.

Like 4-5 Banelings on that bunker and it still stands.... not today no ;)

    Thanks for the info.

I don't like that the ovie spits goo continuously but the creep doesn't extend after it's reached the max radius. I think the spitting should stop. But the ability itself is nice, it allows the Zerg to fortify an expansion while the main building is being built, similar to how the other races can.

Does anyone know a way around this unavailable thing? I'll try an anonymiser site but I doubt it'd work.

  18. Don't have anything to add except for posting these videos; I've been needing a new video fix. I've been watching all the other videos over and over again :D

    @VodkaChill

Actually since the Banelings do 60 damage, 5 banelings even with splash would only do 300 damage to a bunker, which if it is the same as the original, has 350 hp.

Banelings do +150 damage against buildings. Two will destroy a Bunker once you take the base damage into account.
