NEW Viking!!

A lot of little details have changed. The cockpit glass is black instead of golden (interestingly, Marines have previously lost their black visors and gotten golden ones)
The head isn't shaped like an arrow anymore and has instead has two... prongs or something.
They removed the black and yellow stripes from the neck.

The gray is even of a different shade. The previous Viking was cool gray, which is gray mixed with blue, while the new one is warm gray, gray mixed with a little yellow. So, what do you think?

EDIT. Btw, this is actually old news (nobody seemed to notice and I was too lazy ) but the Banshee got the same kind of facelift. It's slimmer, has a more warm tone of gray, etc...

 

The new Viking looks better then the old one IMO.

Here's another screenshot of them. They're less bulky and more fighter-like, and I like that. At first I even thought the predator was back because the changes are so radical.

 

I dont like the warmgrey, but the other things are fine, so I say same.

 

@Kuvasz. Haha! Exactly what I thought when I saw just that picture with the blue Vikings! I seriously thought they were Predators for 2 secs.
Indeed they feel more slim too.

 

I love the new design. The last one was like...clunky, something you'd let a little kid play with. These look much more deadly.

 

Saw it, it looks awesome. Even the ground version looks good now.

 

Blizzard said there is plenty of art-working up ahead and they deliver!

Rofl, I just noticed the Marauder, which is apparently a powered up suit is just a tad bit smaller than the Viking... Which is a transforming jet/robot. It's all fine and dandy until you notice the actual cockpit on the Viking, is about the size of the Marauders head.

Just something to look at, and yes I do know it's done for unit recognition in playtime.

 

lol don't start on size. Do you realise how many tanks fits in a BattleCruiser in sc2.

Not to mention that the science vessel is the biggest unit in SC1, even if on screen it was a little smaller than BC.

 

The new viking is great. it reminds me of the Freespace 2 Terran ships for some reason. I also like the new grey base colour . It looks a lot tougher than the silverish white scheme and gives it a more militaristic look. It also seems to look longer, it looks more like a heavy fighter now.

i notice on the ground form of the viking , on the shoulder there are missiles launcher as the new viking shoot boths air and ground i think

 

Actually, the Viking has always had those missile launchers, even when it couldn't fire GtA.

Yeah, 10x better than the old one
