New units, heroes and villains revealed in the portraits! (NEW XEL'NAGA REAVER!!)

Here is a list of units characters, and what can only be described as hints about campaign characters, and that the Xel'naga's latest creations will likely make an appearance in the campaign! Some of these are ho-hum, some of them are AMAZING. Here it goes, took me a few minutes to compile this list...enjoy!

Terran

Orlan, Nova, Mira Hon, Spartan Company, Diamond Back- Terran story characters.
Predator- Bad *** looking Terran unit.


Zerg

Queen Of Blades- Not really a major reveal but she does look really impressive.
Overmind (!!!!!!)
Infested Colonist
Leviathan- This is truly epic. Looks a Nydus worm (sort of) except ten times larger and with hundreds of teeth and twisted mandibles...can't wait to fight this crazy Zerg monster in single player!


Protoss

Tassadar, Urun, Nyow, Mohander, Selendis, Artanis- Main Protoss characters in the story.
Also a new portrait of the Lenassa, Zeraitai Dark Templar.


Xel'Naga abominations- watch the secret ending of Broodwar, a total foreshadowing of these units!

Hybrid Destroyer- Protoss/Zerg hybrid
Abberation- Terran/Zerg hybrid, looks like a very large man with some features of a Hydralisk.
Hybrid Reaver- Saved the best for last. Looks like this hybrid is Protoss/Zerg and will be based on the Reaver from the original game, excepted it looks like a vicious mutated Zerg version of the original. Excited to see this creature in single player!!

Well I don't think the Hybrid reaver will resemble the Protoss reaver the word is just a generic name for an offensive unit.

 

IIRC, a reaver was a mobile factory retooled to produce bombs. It's not too far of a stretch to see an Infested Reaver, as the Zerg were able to infest the Dragoon production buildings.

But the Xel'Naga reaver prolly won't have a thing to do with the Protoss one.

 

Wait, so they are bring Tassadar back!?

And the Overmind!!!!!!

 

I think tassadar and the overmind are for a flashback.

Or maybe a mission where you travel the fields of the Khala.

At least thats what I hope.

 

Or that guy who claimed he was quality tester was right and Kerrigan will return to her human form and Tassadar will come back. Which is unlikely, but you never know. I think its a flash back tho. Maybe a play-able flash back? Who knows.

 

Im not sure how I feel about bring Tassadar back. I really liked him as a character, but it would be kind of lame if he wasn't really dead.

I do think it would be cool if another overmind came into play.

 

I wouldn't mind another Overmind as long as Kerrigan becomes human or Raynor kills her which I have a feeling he probably will at some point.

 

You really think Raynor would kill her if she became human again? I figured he'd just hit that and that would make up for all the people she killed

 

I probably would too, but thats me. Raynor was pretty pissed about her killing Fenix too.

 

Just a matter of days untill a leak copy comes into play at maximum a week from now. I will still buy the game but I am downloading first. Plus 60 dollars for only one campaign what a ripoff. Face it guys there is going to be tens of thousands of people downloading a leaked copy from torrents as soon as it gets released. Come over to the dark side my brothers and sisters, someone needs to support the blank cd/dvd businesses not just gaming companies.

With that out of the way: I'm really interested in seeing some sort of infested Protoss machines. Especially since I predicted about it ages ago, although that mostly concerned Dragoons. :/

 

I never saw those in the portraits. The only thing I saw was hybrid destroyer, and hybrid reaver. I suspect the Dark voice portrait is a xel naga. Anyways show me the portrait called Xel Naga abomination.

 

It's not a portrait called that, it's just an abomination that will become the new Xel'Naga. AKA the hybrids.

They were called abominations in the secret mission by Zeratul. Which is not a good way to call them, since you could also call the zerg abominations. And the protoss if you are an ***.

To business; I do remember the secret mission Iffy posted. Duran's story is continued in the latter released campaign "Insurrection" to my knowledge.
Anyone know of a video about it that isn't a walk through? I can't find one and don't feel like wading through all the "walk through" just for the story elements (atm).

@Iffy- I agree, I hope it's a flashback mission. Tassadar had such an epic self sacrificial death... let him stay dead.
Although, I do greatly prefer the Overmind and his cerebrates over Kerigan. So I'm all for it coming back.
