    It's for calling down MULEs, possibly drop pods if they make it into the final version.

  7. I posted on this here a while ago but didn't think it deserved its own topic. If you want to see some fairly interesting discussion here's a link:

    It's pointless to copy and paste posts from there to here so if you're interested just read those comments.

    Gateway has a training line and it takes so many seconds before a unit is built(33 seconds to get a zealot). the Warp gate does not have this training line, but it takes only about 5 seconds to build a unit(it gets warp to anywhere you want that has Pylon power) and then the building cant be used for almost the same amount of time it would have taken to build the unit with the Gateway(so it would be like 30 seconds if you built a zealot before you can use the Warp gate again)

    in essence, if there was a battle between 2 Protoss players and one only uses Gateways and the other only Warpgates(as soon as he could get them) then the person that is using the Warpgates can build his army faster than the person that only used the Gateways(as long as the person have the require resources).

    @ElemenT

    while I already PM you about it, this might get your attention faster, In the Battle Report 2 at about 11:45 to 12:05 Dustin Browder say that the Infestation Pit is the building require to morph the Lair into a Hive. It is unknown where the Nydus Network is right now.

    something I forgot to mention tho is that the Lurkers Den requires the Hive in order to be build and that it morphs from the Hydralisk Den( at least according to this slightly old info.
