The source (sc2p.com) doesn't have high-res versions. I know these don't do the screenies justice, but they'll have to do for now.

PSI blades no longer team coloured. - Yay

Improved lighting it would seem - appears they played around with nuke lighting too :O. All looks very nice, especially on the desert one.

New Battlecruiser - I dont mind it. I think i should have faith in blizzards choice tbh.

Old stalker model still present - Im sure this is just a sign of how busy their art team is tbh :S.

I am seriously awed by blizzards work 90% of the time. This + another D3 update + blizzcon in what like. 8 days? Really makes me drool :S. gj blizz!

wow man the game is looking ever better!! the BC looks magnificent!! And the yellow colour for the protoss really suits them...it makes them look really golden!! xD

on image 219, what exactly are those tentacle-like objects on the middle of the picture? They look like possibly the attack animation of new version of the sunkern colony(if thats still the name).

those are the spine crawlers, replacing the sunkens. They can uproot and move around, rooting at another area of the creep. So you can change your defence formation and stuff.

Spore colony got replaced my spore crawlers? i think thats what they are called.

 

10 ScreenShots Found (Outdated)

Well the good news is that our friends at SC2Pod.com have found 10 new screenshots. The bad news? They're outdated. Take a gander and see what you can glean from them. The best I could do was a very nice picture of a nuke going off and a pretty good shot of the new Zerg Spine Crawlers. Other than that there are outdated models galore.

But far be it from me to ruin your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!

But good job nevertheless.

 

As I've said in Spartan's thread, it's not a find until they're hires. They were captured in hires, so they must be somewhere. It's the 21st century, size practically doesn't even matter, so I can't see a good reason to only host them in a resolution that was OMFG ten years ago :wacko:

 

Because they were stolen off the Blizzard server most likely. He was probably digging around and found the filenames. The chances of him guessing the hi-res filenames are very slim especially now that Blizzard knows someone found them.

 

I'm not trying to nitpick here but why would Blizzard store lores screenshots?
These pics are nice and everything but they're merely teasing us.

I've checked two sites that posted the screens as news and both say they're very recent. Also Vodka points out well that these are fresh. Jon, do you have some inside info again?

 

No, I just have gameplay experience and I've talked with Blizzard. The Colossus still has a fan attack as of WWI. The Terran have been overhauled as far as graphics and the Protoss have not.

The Jackal's model is also from before WWI. As well as a number of other smaller features (Zealots have colored psi blades).

I would date these photos as before WWI but after June 08.

 

You can see it here that it's not a fan attack.

ps I had to link it from the Hungarian site... where's our 10 pictures? I only see 5

 

The backs of Spine Crawlers still look a bit plain. They need more done to their body.

Also, the Void Rays still seem to have that half High, half Dark colouring. It's not coloured like the Carriers, etc, but it's not coloured like the Stalkers either.

Lastly, I thought the Creep Tumours were changed to look/be smaller than that. Is that true or are a couple of these screenshots old?
