new power system

did sc2 placed the power system just now or was it there after the move?

well anyways, theres a power level system now ^^
its called a rep system if im not mistaken, its found on the upper right corner
the scales (balancing thinggy ; libra sign) is the rep system, much like the pow system before

so enjoy messing with it again, although to my knowledge that it doesn't show the
reason for pow up or pow down unlike the power system before

"i appprove" is pow up
"i disapprove" pow down (duh!)
comment on the bottom
click add rep

 

Well I don't know if we will have great use of it, and I don't even know where the forum shows our PL.. I only found the icon, and a new stuff called "referals" which you gain for inviting people to the forums.
Anyways.. I hope I will still be at positive PL

 

Its a typical vB thing, but I think it still hasnt been activated, thats why it doesnt show

 

Also the rep indicator is the small square below the post count

 

Does anyone know what it looks like when you get a rep up? I miss our plain numbers power system.

 

Its green if you have a positive rep and Im assuming its red if your negative.

I have given out 2 and both people show the same level. We will have to wait till somone gets snoug to push to a new level

I do kow though that for the adin his box is black and it says his reputation is disabled. Everyone else is grey

 

Remy has a green box, so far he is the only one I have seen to have something other than grey, and he does have a positive power level so I am guessing there is a correlation, and I figured red is just the inverse of that.

Interesting. Although when I go to the members listing and order it based on reputation, there's no change to the list. Then again, Remy's not even on the list.

 

The databease obviously still has some holes/errors

 

only each few lvl changes makes a green, after you have 6 green boxes, the boxes become lighter

 

its not fixed/calibrated yet so you still cant see the pow level or something

 

Oh also I noticed something. There seems to be a limit on power leveling so you can't go power crazy and up half the forum at once

 

I like the sound of that. It'll be very interesting to see how levels accumulate in this new system.

 

I haven't seen any changes except for Remy having a green square though I suspect that is an error.

Also I should point out that though he has a green square it still shows "New Member" on the mouseover.

Nope

The power levels were wiped. Everyone has a clean slate. This time people will hopefully not abuse the system by giving rep increases for crappy reasons. That way it will actually show a person's overall quality and commitment level
