So for my new map i want Rounds to happen. so ppl stay in a waiting area. when the team controlls no civs i want all units to go to the area. witch is completed works nice. But i want the TImer to set to 120 seconds. then when it hits 0 all units are killed in the area and u get 1 civ for the selector again.. How do i Set the timer each time?

You have to use switches and preserve trigger.

That will indefinately add 120 seconds tho. Cause u will have no civs for 2 mins and ull have a unit in the arena for 2 mins.. It will add 120 seconds every second for 120 seconds.. thats... Alot of seconds.

But i gotta make it so that a civ wont spawn untill the 2 min timer is up. thats the thing.

Edit: Gunna be currious to know what imagine says to this.

Cause you got it set to at most, when it is a countdown timer, it is counting every second to that one. Going backwards. Set it to exactly, and see what happens.

lol, well if you use switches it should solve the problem :p

I think with at most 1 sec, it should work, if it doesnt, change it to exactly 0, or whatever works

Ok, that's because you clear the switch before creating the civ.
I know it sounds dumb, but put the civ before clearing the Timer switch and it should work fine.
Just in case, put the "clear timer" command, last.

As I've said, u're in the WRONG FORUM!! go to www.staredit.net for mapping purposes..

Timer is bad :C Use Deathcounts instead, they cool and with Hyper Trigs, it's a lot better to use this. (http://www.staredit.net/?p=tutorials&tut=20 for tutorial)
it's about 12 deathcounts per second. This would help get around the use of a countdown timer (since there is only one)

If you want to use a countdown timer so ppl know when their turn is over... then it's best to use switches.
e.g. When the timer goes to 0
    When switch 1 is clear

    Set switch 1 to set.
    Kill all units in area
    Create Civ

When player brings civ to blah or brings 0 civ to anywhere
    when switch 1 is set

    move units to area
    Set Switch 1 to clear

Anyway, I have no idea what u said.. Post ur triggers next time.

... move units? in my map you dont have units to Move. and ppl have posted other triggers that are pretty much the same as urs.

you should read all the other posts not juss the first one i made. I have a good friend helping me with my maps. that doesnt need staredit info

And your in the wrong forum. post the websites somewhere else.
