Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been able to work on the site, but I am currently working on it now. I installed chat already (you can find a link to it along the top) and in the process of installing the shop function...

PS: the quick reply should be fixed now... I this forum is now running the latest version!

    Thanks!

Well, I am having trouble getting a shop mod installed because the autor took it down due to security flaws found in them recently. So I need to wait until a fix is released. In the meantime, I am working on the arcade

Thanks sc2forums, you're the best! Even if you haven't worked on the site lately, you still constantly pay for the server, so I am always grateful.

Well I pressed ctrl+F5 after seeing this thread and the posting buttons are vB default ones with ugly white borders, instead of the dark green cool ones.

Yeah, the borders of things are kinda messed up. Also, the Online Now thing is as well.

Is it possible to pick in what order the posts are displayed? For older members it might be easier to view threads by having the new posts on top, but for newer members like myself, it gets very annoying having to scroll down to the bottom of the page to view the thread.

Also, at the side of the webpage where the new posts are displayed, is there supposed to be a ) in front of the username? It could also make sense to get rid of the posted by: information as well, since it really holds no purpose.

I realize that I overwrote some files to the default VB ones, that's why the graphics for some images and backgrounds are not looking good, but I am fixing them up.

Yamato_cannon, you can choose how you want to display the thread order. At the bottom of the forums display, you can see "display options". Just choose descending or ascending depending on which order you would like thinks displayed in.

And no, there isn't supposed to be a ) after the username, I'll fix that too.

Maybe you should change the defaults to show a standard thread view with no cutoff time so people stop being confused but can change them if they want to

While your on is there a reason why if I go idle for a few minutes the list of new post is erased?
Perhaps haing it set for all unread topics would be better

Its hard to keep track when forums are still marked as having unread topics if I haven't returned to the section root while unread topics aren't always flagged

When I log on the new posts lists everything that has been posted up since I was online last but after viewing a few posts most of them topics on the list disappear and it only lists posts from the past hour.

It does that until I log off for a while again. It also lists topics I have posted in if the post occurred less than an hour ago.

What I am saying is it would be more convenient if the list always had all unread replies instead of just the most recent ones. so I don't have to scour the forums looking for them because in addition to that the flag that allows me to go the the last read post disappears

In addition to that if I visit a section and read all of the posts there and then go the the forum root it will still show the section as unread unless I go to the section root.

Im not sure if its my settings but since I haven't changed anything I am thinking it has something to do with the forum software since other VB forums I go to will keep the unread replly flags till kingdom come

Basicly the forum software isn't properly tracking what I have read and what I haven't
