New competition: Icon creation

The TD idea was a bit, err, TDous, so Iet's try with icon creation. All you need is an image editor (and there are many free ones out there), so everyone can participate.

Rules:
- 1 icon entry per person
- The icon should relate to a new upgrade, unit, or spell, and be posted with a brief description of that upgrade, unit, or spell so we know what we're looking at.
- The icon should be a 64 x 64 image, relating to the actively useable spell, available upgrade, or currently produceable unit (so, don't give us a darkened icon to represent an ability that still needs to be researched or a unit that is unavailable until some other requirement is met).

Proposed rewards:
- 5000 minerals + drone to 1st place
- 2000 minerals + drone to 2nd place
- 2000 minerals to 3rd place
- 750 minerals for participation

 

Those rewards are crazy.

 

I thought you were going to say design the desktop icon of SC2. Now that would be awesome
But this could be fun as well I guess but the prizes are a bit off methinks because these are quite small and easy to do.
1st - 5000 + drone
2nd - 2000 + scv
3rd - 1000
for participation - 500

edit: on second thought, it might be a better idea to only reward the top ten submissions and not all

 

Well, I designed the rewards based on the previous forum competitions. We could nerf them a bit more than kuvasz suggests. It' not necessarily easy to make an icon, I put it up there with making a poem.

 

What do you mean by Icon can you simplify the requirements just a wee bit more? ???

 

This is not a real competition I think. I think this is just a suggestion for one.

Ha, well here is my sad attempt... its supposed to be the yammato cannon icon, but it really isnt recognizable... Haha, anyways i tried! ;D
