New characters

We already know quite a number of new heroes introduced in starcraft 2, like the new protoss executor chick

what other new heroes do you think could add something to the story?

 

It might be a little cliche, but It would be cool I think to see an overlord/overseer that breaks the psi bind with his cerebrate/kerrigan. Or maybe a cerebrate being controlled by the terrans via drugs but Kerrigan also trying to control it, thus It having a split personality.

 

It would have Multiple personality disorder. They should make a mission where you'd have to escort a psychologist to it.

I think they should add an Infantry officer from the Dominion, maybe as a defector or someone you bump into during the campaign.

 

I'd love to see a queen character.

 

You can't really have Zerg characters, seeing as how it's a Hive Mind setup. Kerrigan is the only thinker.

I'd personally like to see more of the 'noble warrior' type characters from the Protoss. Fenix was awesome and, even though Aldaris kinda messed things up and was a bit of a douche, he had awesome motivation, personality wise. I'd also like to see Adun's buddy (I can't remember his name >_<) make an appearance.

Wrong. Ethan Stewart (an infested terran) can think for himself, and the queens created the baneling morph. Doing complicated genetics is a bit difficult without a brain.

Adun's buddies were Veltraas (given his age and the time, almost certainly dead) and Taldarin.

 

A Dominion General which stages a coup d´etat against the emperor, it would add a nice plot twist

 

I would like see a UED officer that escaped during the Brood War that would either join Mensk or Raynor. Preferably with a German accent and FTF attitude (For the Fatherland!), While secretly sabotaging every party involved in any way he can so the Ued will be victories in the end.

Why's that? It's a real thread.

I like Gforce's idea, though if it's done wrong, it'll just be lame. Also, it could be too similar to a Duran character. I'd like the story to be completely the fresh, if possible (Blizz's storytelling ability has tanked lately)

 

It might be interesting to see a spine crawler hero, even though it's a structure.

 

A UED character would be awesome, have as a bad or good guy depending on the choices you make in mission selection.
Eg.Help the UED fight off a group of Mercs/Zerg and help them back home to earth(or they join the crew and stab you in the back later, either way)
OR Help the Dominion hired Mercs destroy them and get rid of the UED from the sector, only to have them sell you out to the Dominion

 

Now that the StarCraft comic is out, there's potentially a new character - Tamsen Cauley (a Dominion official) and his new Cerberus Program.

I say potentially because, given the way the comic is going, I think he'll die when the series finishes.

 

I think you're thinking of Khas, fenix? (the one who rediscovered the Khala to end the age of strife?).

I'd like to have a not obvious choice that could result in a mutiny, like you have the choice of what mission to pick and if you pick the more dangerous (but heroic?) one your group fractionilizes, be a nice twist to the be good or evil with predictable consequences of a lot of games.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking too. I could picture Tychus Findlay and Gabriel Tosh on one side, with Matt Horner on the other.

 

Another good character idea could be random marines in the canteena space. You go in after a mission and theres a marine sitting down at one of the tables drinking and he gives you a personal insight to how the last mission played out. Stuff like, how many of his mates died, if he grew up on the planet you just fought on or if the mission was against what he thought was right (cause Raynor's men arent Resoc marines so they have there own point of view about things). Maybe it can lead to a side mission or maybe it could go into a cutscene where it actually shows you what happened to this fellow.

Just something like that gives a more personal touch and little side stories to the starcraft universe.

 

If the Cerberus Program sticks around to StarCraft II, its new field commander, Lars Trakken, could also make a good villainous character.

 

i hope Samir's back, and for the hybrids i hope we interact with a Tassar-type, Fenix-type, Zeratul-type, and even a Kerriganish character - which will represent wisdon, courage, prophetic, and a malicious side.

for the protoss? we need a new fenixish dude or dudette

 

I would like to see some of the characters from the Dark Templar Saga, like Jacob Ramsey and Rosemary Dahl, if there is any part for them to play. (I haven't finished book 3 yet though, so if they die, I take it back).

Ethan Stuart is a strong possibility.

 

After watching transformers and the matrix trilogy.. one may suggest that an AI faction could possibly exist in SC universe..
