Need Some Input

Ok, I know this will spur up some contraversy, but i could really care less. This should be a clan decision.

a member by the name of The[DC]Legend wants to join but he wants a high rank, and he claims he can bring like 5 - 10 + members with him becuase [DC] is gay. The founder left and let two stupid leaders to run it. SO....

He wants a high rank and I told him I would think about what to do. High rank doesnt mean Shaman and access, High rank could be an Officer. That would skip all the ranks up till officer. Fair? No, but he said he just wants the chance to prove himself.

It is very uncommon for that to happen, and i feel i shouldnt make that call, so...

I ask, for you guys to make that decision or give me your opinion, i know this will generate debate, so i am open to all opinions.

 

Well, I say don't give him higher then Corporal, cause if he wants to prove himself for leadership, he should start no higher then there.

Rank doesn't really matter what matters is trust which you can't gain from bringing a few members that we know nothing about. I'm fine with this idea.

 

Agreed with Roman, because once he reads ranks, thats means access as well, and we can't be having more shaman problems.

i say 5-10-50-100, who cares? everyone starts like any other normal member. If he then proceeds to recruit and move up at a normal rate, then more power to him. He will have all the time in the world to "prove himself" this way.

I think the only time this should be considered is if a close close clan to E (currently none) wants a merger and we are all already cool with the other clan members. (not the case)

 

wow i say, no look at me for example i already brought like 12 active menber im still only a sergeant not complainig. bringing this guy from out of no where and give him a rank because hes bringing 5 or 10 not even a specific number who care. we are the best with or with out him if he want to come let him come just give im the rank of a corporal with of acces of of like 20, because i be dam if someone that joins just now start kicking older menber then him. who cares about ranks to me a rank is not a chain of comand or a symbol of power to me my rank represent the trust we have for our menber because like spiderman uncle ben says with great power comes great responsibility. sorry got to throw in a joke cant be that serious the whole time. oh and im just saying that because 5-10 menber to me deserve the rank of a coporal but i still dont trust this guy hes a backstabber

 

Trust and ranks should be the same thing, they aren't, they could be more effeicent, though for the most part they do a good job.

And the great power great responsibility, is the entire moral of that movie. It is the entire point of it.

 

I don't really care about the rank but if he starts trying to bully people with his power of being a higher rank(without giving him access) we should warn him to stop and show respect to the people who been in the clan longer cause an Initiate can be in this clan for like half a month while he is there for only 2 or 3 days. Just give him the rank but if he ask for access just say something like "You are currently being evaluated as an officer and you will gain access if you show loyalty to the clan."
Main thing is rank isn't everything if your like only been here for a few days.

 

psh ranks =/ nothing but problems we should just be rid of them.

I wouldn't give him that much access even if hes is GIVEN the rank, he has to earn it

 

this should have never have been a topic. Ranks may or may not matter, but they DO EXIST so they must be acknowledged. If we sit back and say ranks aint **** and give a no name who wants to join a high rank for nothing, then the system fails and we should rid ourselves of it the same day. I say Phuck this kid, howis he any different then any other random that we ban? I dont care if he is Billy Blizzard, little junior blizz tech son of Bob Blizzard, head of B.Net. Phuck Em.

the simple fact he even brought this idea up, shows his impure intensions if you ask me. I Never once brought up or asked for rank ever! not once! >point being, you dont need access to "prove yourself" you dont need rank to "prove yourself". Kids these days.
