need some help here!!!

so i bought a 2008 blizzcon beta key off ebay and once i went to the site to plug it in it says "no longer accepting 07 and 08 beta testing for new WOW title"

Now im hoping once they open sc2 beta testing up I will still be able to punch in the key code....

or am I completly s*** out of luck?

if you guys could shed some light I would greatly appreciate it

 

I vote for the second option. You should never buy beta keys off the internet because

• you can't be sure they didn't activate it beforehand

• AFAIK it's illegal, but I'm not sure

among other moral reasons. How much did you pay for it?

 

A piece of advise. I don't really know about that beta key thing, but I know one thing. Don't buy any cards that you need to take the key off and put it into a website off the internet. Go to a popular store and buy it there, because there is practically no chance you can get such a problem.

 

Aight, everyone relax. He bought a 2008 BlizzCon Card which means his beta key is for StarCraft 2.

The reason it isn't working is because the key isn't for WotLK, it's for StarCraft 2. Unless you have a WWI 2008 or BlizzCon 2007 card you're fine. Just wait until StarCraft 2 beta comes out and you can register using your code.

 

how can i tell? when i type in the address on the back it goes strait to a shutdown page where it says "WotLK is no longer accepting beta"

-its got a blizzard graphic on the front with a present
-the back has a polar bear mount along with an unscratched code that says "beta key for future blizzard title"

did i get screwed or do i just have to wait for sc2 beta to get released?

I doubt they put up the StarCraft II programming yet.

(After StarCraft II comes out, but before Diablo III beta, I bet any Diablo III beta keys inputted too early will say "StarCraft II is not longer accepting beta".)

Just wait until StarCraft II's beta is announced. Its keys won't work until then.

 

Your key is definitely for StarCraft 2. Don't worry about it.

just never buy **** like that over the internet, even ebay. and you will save yourself a head ache. but i hope it works out for you.

yea it costs way too much...lol, i got ripped and i knew it but it was something i just had to have. complete impulse buy.

 

Dont trust your impulses, and as mentioned don't buy over the internet. Maybe amazon, but don't trust that to the fullest either.

 

Impulse buying's good, the economy needs more of it.

Don't worry about not being able to use it until the beta starts, maybe?
