Hey everyone, I'm a zerg user. Division 8, platinum 7. I'm having a hell of a time trying to beat competent terran players. As long as they make marines and marauders all game, and expand at the right time, I feel helpless. Can someone give me some advice? I'm not the best at macroing, but I'm not bad, and I always go for a successful fast expansion. It seems extremely difficult to take on terran, anyone have advice?
Baneling, Baneling, Baneling. And Roaches with burrow. You're kind of asking in the wrong place since me and FFenix I think are the only Platinum players on here, but I know as T w/ M&M I ph33r only the Baneling on an early push. As far as the Planetary Fortress and expansion the only thing I can tell you is to get some early mutas and then push Brood Lords with some Corruptors ASAP. Brood Lords make micro absolute hell on Terran players especially if they're going ground. Gotta watch out for mass Banshee + Viking now though since they've gotten free cloak. But the Corruptor will help you by infesting buildings that would hurt you (Planetary Fortress) while you destroy it. It also prevents the T player from repairing that building. I would also suggest you possibly get Infestors and use the Fungal Growth ability on the massed M&M in combination with Mutalisk, Cracklings, and Hydralisks. Don't even bother with Roach against T unless you're worried about Reapers early or want to push against Marines.
Thanks Thanks for the advice, I've been resorting to guardians (whatever they're called). I have a friend who plays terran exclusively, so I've been sparring with him. From watching replays and all that, a good terran that goes abit heavy early on with marauders forces the zerg to macro the hell out of them. These practice games are gonna be long and boring.
i don`t know man bat since im a terran player i think you need to use some baneling rush or unless you`re will be defeated by a marine rush or a reaper
David Kim tactic I saw online: Expand, use sparse zerglings to defend against reapers, mass mutalisk, and be careful not to lose them. Harrass then mass upgraded banelings, because then the terran will mass marines onwards.
The most annoying and #1 reason that I lost a lot to Zerg players were because of Mutas. Normally going for MMM like most Terrans would, I encountered a problem when Mutas came out. Muta harass towards my units who can't attack air, I had to severely rely on Turrets or vikings which limited my MMM early game.
