need help REAL BAD!

    im trying to load a BRAND NEW SC battlechest onto my gf's crappy old dell laptop.

    I put the CD in, and it just makes this like clicking/skipping sound.

    do i need to DL some drivers?

    If the laptop is very old then the disc might be written too fast for the drive to read, in which case you can get a new copy of SC (which was written at a slower speed) or replace the drive with a newer one. You could also try cleaning the drive and the disc.

    its a 2002 with a dvd player ect....

    the sc cd just skips and it sucks.

    maybe the CD is bad??? if not then you need a new driver

    There's other things.

    If you have no computer know how, get some canned air, clean off the lens, and spray around inside the drive.

    If you do have computer know how, take the drive out and check the motor. It could be misaligned, worn out, so on and so forth.

    Simplest thing to try: put something else in it and see if it reads it alright. That will decide if it's the drive or the cd which is faulty.
