Firstly, I am a silver league toss player, and I'm having problem countering these combinations :
    1. Hydra + corruptors

Hydralisks rip the **** out of my ground units, and the corruptors snipe down my colossus / carriers. Usually the ratio of hydra to corruptor is 3-4 : 1. I can't find any ground units that can counter hydras effectively, (maybe dt if the opponenet has no overlord), and if I go carrier/colossus they both get killed by corruptors AND hydralisks. Void rays will just get shot down by hydras...

    2. Stalkers + colossus (+void rays)

When the opponent goes stalkers + colossus, I'll go either of these two, pure immortal or pure carriers. The problem comes here :
    - If i go pure immortal, all the opponent has to do is to get some zealots and its gg.
    - If I go carriers he will always get out some voidrays, efficiently killing all my units.

    3. Early Pure stim marine (wait.. This isn't combination :p)
This happens between 5-10th min of the game.
The enemy sends in about 15 stim marines, stim up the ramp and start killing my units. Only encountered 2 times and lost both. Is there any way to spot this by looking at the opponent's build order(scout probe), and countering it? By the way it is difficult to scout after the opponent gets 1 marine because the marine will kill the probe before it can take a look around the base.

    Thanks.

1: Zealot/Stalker/Colossus would work. Focus down the corruptors with your stalkers, and let your colossi do the damage.
Also, a way better unit to get (against zerg in general) are High Templars with Psi Storm. Psi Storms rape apart zerg army's.

2: I'm not sure about this one, Stalker/Colo is really powerful. I think Stalker Immo or Zealot Immo (in like1:1 ratio) would work. Otherwise: just get more stalkers and more colo's ;D

3: Hm, if they run up your ramp, you should use Force Field and split his army, and then kill it ;) Otherwise, with good macro and some micro, you'll be able to destroy this.

And you should scout way earlier, for example, when you warp in your gateway, or even your pylon. With that, the terran will probably wall off before your probe arrives.

Hope I helped ^^ You should just 1v1 a friend and let him do those builds, and then counter it.

    1) Against Corruptors and Hydras I would definitely say mass up zealots, get charge. Have some stalkers in case they stay with mutalisks. Sentries are good to trap the hydras in place with force fields. High templars are very good with psy storm on hydralisks since they are not heavily armored. Archons are very good against them as well.

    2) When facing protoss that is going for colossi and stalkers i would say to mass up colossi to outnumber them and get some immortals since they do well against stalkers and colossi if they get close enough. Phoenix are good if they get void rays.

    3) Against stim marines you should be ready at the top of the ramp with gateway units. The key here is to have a couple of sentries to trap and divide them and then have zealots right in front with stalkers firing in the back. If you do not think you have enough units then just block them out with a force field on the ramp so they waste the stim pack.

The answer is really simple. If he only got hydras and corrupter then why bother go colussus? If you go for high templars he has spent all the money/gas on corrupters for no use and also 1 storm can kill 10 hydras...10 templars can easiely kill of 30 hydras by itself...And no offence to that zerg but he is retard if he goes hydra/corruptor because it is weak. What you should go against that is mass zealots and mass high templars. Zealots surround and you can storm without him being able to move away, in silver league i dont quite think he will have the intelliegence enough to have upgraded burrow and the burrow momentspeed because that is the counter to high templars, burrow and move away but that should work in silver league for you. I am available ingame if you want to ask me anything or having problems with something...

    1/ Hydra + corruptors..
Voids-Colossus. If hydra destroy ur voids and corruptors - colossus - problem is in ur micro =\

    2. Well, it is difficult to counter.
Try zealots-immortals-phoenixes. and micro again ofc.

    3. -.-

Thanks for your replies, but just thought of going immortal and void rays. Immortal to counter stalkers, void rays to take out colossi. What do you think about this?
