I've been browsing different thread's on the forum's trying to come up with a solution to my problem. Basically I've tried installing the game numerous times, everytime doing so the game installs perfectly. But my problem is everytime I open the game to the "update patch screen" i'm guessing my game instantly closes.

My error msg is the same everytime time via:

    03:21:18.4493 Launcher version 2.1.2.1558
03:21:21.6673 Failed while patching. Command was 'download sc2-1.x.x.x-1631-x86-Win-enUS-tools.torrent'.
03:21:21.6674 Failed to run Downloader from 'sc2-1.x.x.x-1631-x86-Win-enUS-tools-component-dl'.
    03:21:21.6674 Unable to download update(s) from Battle.net.

I do have a modem and firewall but I've opened up all the right ports and I still have the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Try rebooting your system in SAFE MODE WITH NETWORK and then run it.
    It should patch.

If that doenst work and if your using Internet Explorer:

    Start > Run> inetcpl.cpl

This will open up your IE Internet options window.

    Select the Connections Tab

    Click LAN Settings

If checked, uncheck proxy server settings

    and run the game again.

    Cheers

Maybe a few more informations would be helpful:

    Which OS are you running?
Did you already tried running as Admin?
    Which Firewall are you using?

Uninstall and delete PEER GUARDIAN, or any other P2P security program. Don't just close the program when you attempt to install and play the game, wipe it off your system all together. I did this and the game finally worked for me after pulling my hair out for days.
