I know a lot of newer members never got to see it, so I am re-uploading the content originally posted here. It is the sounds for six SC2 Protoss units. I don't know if any of these have changed since then, but it's good stuff either way.
Sweet. The Warp Ray does indeed sound a little too human. I love the Colossus and Phoenix voices though. The Phoenix is just so... crisp and alien. The Immortal and Stalker could almost be coming from warcraft IMO.
1. Immortal sounds like "The Druid of Talon" from wc3 2. Zealot is constipated 3. No funny phrases yet? or none at all?
naaa i think most of them are great. Except for the Void Ray; too human yes. Stalker and Phoenix sounds great =]
Immortal has a much deeper voice, and sounds alot cooler, but I don't care if the voices sound similar to WC3 as long as they sound really good.
The Immortal's too placid... Should be more forceful. The Colossus is awesome... I was afraid they'd have it with an actual voice. The Phoenix is good but it'd need an appropriate avatar for the voice to suit. The Stalker is great... Though 'You ssseek our ssservisss?' sssoundsss sssilly and ridiculousss. The Warp Ray's great, assuming it carries over to the Void Ray... Very military. The Zealot's simply awesome. As for having no funny phrases yet, the Immortal had some, though they weren't humorous, just the usual pissed.
Meh, the Protoss never were really funny, except for the time travel joke from the Arbiter. The sounds are great though, but like Itza said, the Immortal sounds to weak to stand up to its name.
That's cause Blizz only has ten or so voice actors. They just have a wide vocal range and a helluva lotta filters.
You can sure say that again. Did you know the awesome voice of Tassadar is done by the same voice actor as the horribly annoying voice of Cain?! How can something so awesome produce something to angrifying?
haha offcourse =] i think its spelt Abel...not to sure though...meh anwyayz, i think the immortal and the void ray needs more distortion on their voices. Or some sort of Synth sound to make it sound more protoss.
Woot at most of em I Loved the lot, hated the colossus... Im guessing he's not supposed to say anything tho, like the reaver maybe? and yeah, Warpray needs an echo and it'll be cool
What about Probes and stuff? You got lucky with the Observer... Lousy floating invisible cassette tape! And what about the Zerg?! Can't expect any of them to talk to ya... Kerrigan aside.
