Just wondering, and this MIGHT be in the wrong form, but it is about all three races.

What unit quotes do you think will be new, or coming back?

    Eg.
Want a piece of me, boy?
    My life for Aiur!
    I have returned.
    Adun toridas.
    Ready to roll out!

My favourites were: "Today is a good day to die."- Protoss Corsair
: "I have returned"- Protoss Dragoon
: "KRAE KRAE KRAE"- Zerg Scourge
: "BWAHHHH HHHHHHHHH HHHHH AUGH HROUOI"- Zerg Ultralisk

I hope those 4 unit "ready sets" come back for SC2.... they can do whatever the hell they want with the rest.

That's Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner. And yes, please bring it back. I also loved, "I"m about to drop the Hammer..." "...And dispense some indiscriminate justice!"

I haven't been keeping up with all the Starcraft news as I'm not exactly what you would call an avid fan of the game, but I've noticed in a few gameplay videos, the Zerglings sound similar to Rats with Wings. Has anyone else noticed this? It really ticks me off, because I loved the Zergling's soundbyte, and while it's currently in use by the Roach, they could create something a lot better than a bunch of Seagull recordings. The attack sounds have been kept, I'm hoping. Just that constant hammering sound of their claws against a building or bunker, and when you've got 50 of the ****ers?

The Marines and other infantry units with access to the Stimpack should keep the soundbyte, because there's nothing like hearing a regiment of Firebats shooting up before suicidally charging into Zerg Hive. I also agree with the above comments of the Carrier.. There was just something so great about his voice, and it was really set apart from the other units, probably because of the heavy filtering used. It just held such power.

"Battlecruiser operational" very very foreign voice. maybe even more rolling on the r's.

    and can't forget the classic:
    "Biiieeaaauh!" (probe)

i'll miss "Fire it Up" from the firebat though... :-(

    Smokin'.

I actually like the "Chookwom" sound the Probe made. Willy knows all about that. "Battlecruiser Operational" with the heavy Russian accent is a necessity. Just image if they had gotten Sean Connery to do the voice acting for the Cruiser Commandant. The Queen's voice was pretty unique, especially when it hatched. The Defiler should be slotted in somewhere, because ****, that **** was just scary to listen to, as well as some of the Hydralisk soundbytes. Just sent chills up my spine.

That actually reminds me.. The other day, I was playing Zerg in your typical FFA, against Computer players no less. Well, I actually found myself out of Vespene Gas, fancy that. It's been a while since I've ( legitimately ) played Zerg, and I've got to say, the Overmind sounds pretty pissy when you're out of precious Vespene. Scared the pants off of me at 4:00 AM. Hoping the Overmind, or whatever it is now, maintains the heavy filtered, multiple voices. Those kind of effects are what really made Zerg, the Zerg.

My favorite is "It is a good day to die" from Corsair. Man I love that.

I like the war song on siege tank too. DUN DA DA DUN DUN

I like the new "My life for Aiur!" from the zealot too.

It's a pretty unpopular one, but I loved when the arbiter said: ''We feel your presence''. I felt instantly protected by the cloak.. and his voice *-*
''Carrier has arrived'' is an absolutely must I think, same with ''Battlecruiser..operational''

And lastly, The Archon HAS to say: ''DESSTROOOOYYYYYYY''

Doesn't the Archon say something about burning?

Because his lines were all badass.

And damnit, the Probe says: "CHKUMWAAM."

Again, this is not a "War song", it is Ride of the Valkyries by Richard Wagner. D:

The Archon's line is just simply, "We burn", but it's said in such a way that is just oozes power. I like all their Combat Dialogue, too. I think someone just typed up "Kill" in a Thesaurus and chose the first four options. I'm hoping the Protoss units keep their language quotes, such as "Issah'tu!", "Gau'gurah!" from the Zealot, and "J'tokoh Zohl" from the Arbiter. It's one thing that sets them apart from the other races, and adds an aura of "cool" to certain units.
