My analysis on pro level SC2!

    I don't think this subject has been discussed yet.
    What i thought was:
    There are IMO two "new" things in SC2 compared to SC-BW (gameplay wise):

    Many new roles

    In starcraft there were many units that did not have any role (unit like the scout and the ghost (at least IMO this unit was given a mix that wasn't good enought (hope they will fix this in SC2).In SC2 there are some units that have pretty new roles, units like the banshees, the colossus and the Thor (the "tanker" or like some wow gamers would call it the "warrior").

    Change in the way unit counters each other
    In SC2 you have some units that relay counters each other, and some that counters many units but only are weak counters. An example could be the Immortal it counters units like Tanks relay good, but it would die to mm. The other unit could be the stalker, it counters tanks good too (bonus vs armored), but not as much as the Immortal. A list of other units that are heavy counters could perhaps be these:

    The Immortal - Tanks and high dmg dealers
    The Warp Ray - Buildings and capital ships
    Some zerg units

    As we can see Terran don't has any heavy counter, IMO.
    Some weak counters are:
    Firebat - The Firebat is know in my eyes good against many units like: Zerglings, Zealots, (Immortals), a huge number of other not mech units (i think it will get a bonus vs them?).
    The Stalker - Bonus vs mech so therefore a good counter vs Terran/Protoss.
    MM - These units will also be used vs Protoss/Terran now (Check End analysis)

    End analysis
    These things will change the way the game is played on pro level IMO. The Terran just cant fight with tanks + vikings against Protoss, his Tanks will die to immortals, and the vikings will die to stalkers (or at least fight up even). Therefore he needs to add firebats/MM, the protoss will then add zealots + more stalkers + colossus. Then the Terran will add battlecruisers and the protoss other air units. And so on.
    Then we will end with a fight between all protoss units and all Terran units in some match's. This will mean many more strategies, many more build, and much more fun!

    I would have wanted to write much more, but i suck at English, so i stopped here. I think you can think you to the rest.
    What do you think about this? Is this realistic? Vote and discuss!

    i still dont see why the firebat is such a good counter to stalker/immortal they can easily outrun them and the MM gets owned by the collosus, but interesting idea overall, but since i am mad i vote for teh top option

    Ofcourse the Marines get owned by Collosus, but you need them for immortals. And i thought that firebats were pretty fast with stim. And thanks for the vote, you just a mad person, i will bad for you.

    i thought the firebats didnt have stim anymore?

    No one knows, but i think it will be like the scv. Mech and Flesh. And therefore it should have stim IMO

    Ok, to start with the GHOST is pure elite micro. Do you know what happens when you start using lock down on a bunch of important units? I have devestated other terran and protoss players with a dropship full of ghosts with lockdown...they automatically target the higher threat units, so the can usually get off unfazed...just have the ghosts in a group together and cloak them as soon as they hop out of the drop ship. Its elite as hell, and can murder a fleet of carriers, quite casually.
