Is a very good band. I am going to see them in September. They rule. I just memorized Hysteria's bassline. Anyone else here like 'em?
very much so. I just got black holes and revelations. the beginning of Stockholm Syndrome is godlike as well
no I haven't but I think I'm going to look into it...the thing is, I'm not very familiar with all of their work, and I don't want to go and be a poser
Ah. Let's see....Albums:Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, Black Holes and Revelations. Origin is my fave, but Black Holes is the most epic. Yeah, their live shows rule. I wouldn't worry about being a poser, just mouth what everyone else is singing. MUSE concerts are rather....Awesome I wanna say. Radical works as well
I have Absolution and Black Holes, but I never got fully into Absolution, it was one of those things where I downloaded it, and then something like Hypnotize by System of a Down came out and my desire to listen to Absolution was totally eclipsed by my desire to sop up every drop of music that I could squeeze from SoaD but I'm making a conscious effort to get into Muse as of late...I'm out of my Rammstein/Arctic Monkeys/Nelly Furtado/Timbaland phase and I'm going into a Muse/Interpol/Nine Inch Nails/Nas phase
Yeah, SOAD rulez....I like MUSE better though. I listen to sooo much music lol, I can't tell you what phase I'm in.
same, but I tend to delve deep into a band when I get attached to their album...because as I see it, the album is the face and the message that the band wants their fans to see and hear and understand - so I DL a lot of single tracks I hear, but if I hear the song and I'm really interested, I DL the album and listen through to see what the artist is trying to convey to me, an album is like a bunch of songs linked together with a deeper theme or mood between the notes and lyrics, like one complete thought or idea. and you don't necessarily get that with one or two songs. but now that I think about it, that only applies to some bands (SoaD, NIN, RHCP, etc) and not others (N*Sync, Backstreet Boys, DJ Tiesto ;D)
muse is totally awesome, i got most of their songs, even the really old ones back around 2000ish.. matt's voice is really versatile
Or there's this one that showcases Chris's bass skillz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR2DpgV8fPw EDIT: Yeah, that sucked....I can't do this embed thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR2DpgV8fPw That's the link
you need to http://URL for it to work, the url is not the one with watch?= but the embed one found to the right of the video below the descriptions on the you tube site edit: for the video above the url is http://www.youtube.com/v/DR2DpgV8fPw
I'm not really into the new albums, I like the old stuff. Saw them live a year ago, but it bored the shit out of me.
I have heard nothing but the opposite. People I know who didn't even know about them have seen them and said they were the best act they've ever seen.
